Long story short, basically I am a very indecisive beginner and have been tossing up between the Canon G7X Mark II ($749) and the Mark III ($998) for a while now. I was pretty excited when the Mark III came out but from a lot of YouTube reviews, the camera overheats when shooting in 4k after a few minutes and the autofocus is not the greatest (perhaps even worse than the Mark II in some cases), which is a dealbreaker for me despite the Mark III having a mic input compared to the Mark II. So I went ahead and bought the Mark II online on Harvey Norman but now I'm regretting it (and can't return it thanks to their return policy). One of the main reasons is due to the Mark III being able to shoot in 120 frames per second (better slow mo shots which I love) whereas the Mark II only shoots up to 60fps (can still get slow mo in post but won't be as slow as 120fps). Canon has also released firmware updates to attempt to fix the autofocus issue on the Mark III but there's not many reviews on YouTube about it so it's really making me question my choices again.
Considering to upgrade to the Mark III since I want to use it for an event this Saturday but also not sure if anyone will want to buy my brand new unopened Mark II for about $630 (still at the store, haven't picked it up yet so really, it's as new as it can get).
You can buy it from a store for $660
