5* ones are in Asia and only 1 in NZ.
I personally didn't book because i just went on holidays so cant go…
Just looking at it, it looks good, but in terms of comparison to other deals … i cant say (on behalf of others) whether this is a bargain or marketing cr*p.

Always compare prices using other sites like booking.com and in the same currency. Hotelscombined gives a good overview.

Lots of practice! I narrow it down by area then compare hotel facilities and inclusions. Sometimes you can google part of the description and it will bring up the hotel name.
I always book mystery hotels when I go to Bangkok and Chiang Mai and have always managed to get it right.
I find Agoda really cheap for hotels in Thailand. Basically because it's a Thai company.
I use agoda. But every time i get an email from them stating all their specials i put my dates in and get the same prices :/
Yes I've found that too! They have half price Fridays and the prices are the same as when I have looked during the week. I do like them though because you can pay with paypal and since I often have funds in my PP account it saves using the cc.
