eBay Australia: 11.11% Cashback + $1 Cashback Bonus @ Cashrewards (No Cap, Desktop Browser, Excludes Coupons)

5390

Hi all. As you're probably aware, we re-launched eBay Australia over the weekend on desktop (mobile & app coming very soon). For Singles' Day, we've increased to 11.11% (up from 1%) and giving $1 as a bonus to anyone that buys anything* on eBay today with no minimum spend (note the exclusions). $1 bonus is limited to once per account, but the 11.11% cashback can be used as many times as you like. There is no cap. Don't forget to refer-a-friend for $10 each. Starts 11am AEDT, ends 10pm AEDT. Enjoy :)

eBay Australia Cashback Terms:

  • Until further notice, eBay Australia will be available for Cashback only when shopping via a desktop browser. Cashback is ineligible if shopping via the mobile site, the Cashrewards app, or the eBay app.
  • Cashback is ineligible if a coupon code is applied to any transactions.
  • Cashback is ineligible on transactions made from Coles on eBay.
  • Items purchased under the following categories are ineligible for Cashback: Gift Cards, Vouchers & Coupons, Charity & Non-Profit items, eBay Plus memberships, eBay Motor products, Boats, Cars, Bikes, Tickets, Coins & Money, Travel, Services, and Real Estate.
  • Do not add products to your eBay wish list and purchase or bid over 24 hours later - this will result in not earning Cashback.
  • Auctions won with bid sniping tools are ineligible for Cashback.
  • Ensure the seller has marked your order as sent once you receive your purchased items.
  • Do not click on advertising banners or sponsored links on the eBay website - this may result in not earning Cashback.
  • If anything within a basket is unpaid or returned, Cashback for the whole basket will be declined.
  • You must make all transactions on eBay Australia whilst based in Australia.
  • Sales values are calculated based on currency conversions provided by eBay. Cashback is based upon these reported values.

$1 Bonus Terms:

(1) Purchase must be made on eBay Australia between 11:00am AEDT 11/11/19 and 10:00pm AEDT 11/11/19.
(2) Purchase must be made online via Cashrewards from a desktop browser (direct or via Notifier).
(3) AUD $1 bonus is over and above the normal advertised cashback rate, which still applies to the purchase.
(4) $1 bonus is ineligible when making any gift card purchases, or any other exclusions (see Cashrewards eBay Australia page).
(5) $1 bonus is limited to one per Cashrewards account, irrespective of the number of transactions made.
(6) $1 bonus is ineligible if an order or any part thereof, is cancelled, changed, returned, rejected by the store, or if a coupon code is applied at checkout.
(7) $1 bonus will be credited to your Cashrewards account as approved by Dec 22, 2019.
(8) $1 bonus is fulfilled by Cashrewards, not by eBay Australia. There is no minimum spend requirement.
(9) Fraudulent activity will result in rewards being forfeited and accounts closed.

  • With the removal of coupons on Shopback and Cashrewards, I took a look at earning Qantas points on eBay but even they have invalidated coupon purchases. Can't have it all I guess. :(

  • +1

holly crap, shop back is on 12 %. when are you going to beat them ?

  • Dam…11%! Now I don't know what to buy >.<

  • I am really stupid, so let us be more specific. I am looking at an eBay item which a 20% off coupon code PSLEIGH can be applied to. Are we saying if this code is applied, then neither CR or SB cannot track?

    • +1

That's correct. eBay has deemed the use of ANY codes as ineligible for cashback.

      • whythe changes :-(

        • I’m sorry, but this is totally out of our control. eBay pulls the strings here :)

  • I'm pissed off. I clicked through the cashrewards desktop site via the chrome extension. I had the tick on the Cashrewards chrome extension, made the purchase, didn't use the code for the 11% ebay sale, didn't click away, didn't search through any sale-specific offers on the ebay site. I made the payment and NOTHING from cash rewards.
So basically I gave up a guaranteed 11% discount directly from eBay, for an 11% + $1 cashrewards deal that totally failed.
So trying to scrounge $1 extra cost me $13. I feel like an idiot.

ummmm, if you look in this thread, you will see that ebay is slow in tracking and can take 24-48 hours to show up

    Devastated!
$400 ebay order about 5 hours ago

Same… just before 11 AEDT. Sux to be us.

      • +2

        10:49am for me :(

  • Any good iPhone or Macbook air deal?

  • What if we pay via ebay gift card? Would we still be entitled to the 11.11% off + $1 cash back?

    • +1

It's been answered multiple times in thread already

  • Does anyone know if this works on Ebay Australia for sellers outside Australia?

I've had for a very long time a skid plate for my car that only a singular company in America sell, as well as a car model from Hong Kong I'm tempted to buy.

    • If the item comes up as a search result on ebay.au (without manipulating the search like doing an advanced search and selecting "Location: Worldwide") - and the listing says 'ships internationally' (or to Australia at least) - then yes.

In other words, some items that are listed on ebay.com do not show up on ebay.com.au during an ebay.au search, because the seller doesn't ship internationally. We can manually add '.au' after '.com', but ebay then displays the message: "This item may not ship to your location." So if you've done something like that manually to the URL, and the item is normally only seen on .com, and the seller doesn't ship internationally - then no.

Of course in this second example you could ask them to change a listing to 'ships internationally', and it would then show up on ebay.au and qualify.

  • Hey TA is clicking the big orange shop now button at top of the page okay? I didn't see that it had the $1 extra offer down the bottom.

    • 🙄

  • I placed an order this afternoon, it hasn't tracked yet but I also haven't received a confirmation email from ebay about my purchase although it says paid under my purchases.

    • The majority of eBay sales track within a 24-72 hour window. Unfortunately tracking is not instant for eBay and definitely not as quick as other merchants.

      • +2

Ok thanks for letting me, I would usually get an email from ebay straight away when I make a purchase so was wondering why that hasn't come through yet. Hopefully no issues!

        • +2

Put it this way, sales from launch day (Saturday) are starting to filter through now. Should be fine :)

  • Hello OP. Does buying from private sellers also count towards this offer?

    • +2

      Of course :)

      • Awesome, just bought a brand new Ryzen 7 3800X off a seller's hand. Looking forward to the cashback confirmation.

      • Are you able to extend for 2 hours

  • Is Cashback applied if I buy an item on Ebay accepting a counteroffer to an offer I have sent yesterday but still haven’t accept it?

    • +1

Nope, only at the time of payment.

  • +1

Fark, missed it. Went to do it earlier but only had the mobile available. 7pm Perth time is annoyingly early to finish.

    • No consideration at all for Perthrites :-p Anyway, isn't Singles Day Chinese? Shouldn't the promotion be using Chinese time zone ;-)

  • ohh no just missed it

  • +1

Damn thought this ended at midnight!

    • Maybe they can extend this for today

  • That was a good one…with I had bought more…thanks…maybe a repeat on Cyber Monday?

  • i was happy with this, should have bought more! thank you!

  • TA - I got my tracking email today but the amount is higher than what I paid on eBay (no codes used so paid full ebay price and was in AUD). Will this affect my Cashback being declined? Thanks

    • Provided you didn't use a code, you'll be fine. it will be approved. See reason below:

Sales values are calculated based on currency conversions provided by eBay. Cashback is based upon these reported values.

      • Hey mate, I did purchase few items on 11th with gift cards and it still hasn't tracked yet. Is that normal.

        • +1

          Please see here. Thanks.

          • @tightarse: Got tracked, a question, I purchased more than few items and one of the seller sent the wrong items, so if I return that item, will the cashback be voided on all items. Thank you.

            • @eastwood27: Hi eastwood27. Potentially yes, but it all depends on how the seller actions the return. If he simply accepts the return and ships a replacement without paperwork, it should be ok. As soon as he processes a return/refund/cancellation officially via eBay, you could be in trouble. Best to contact the seller directly and see what he can do.
