METABOX Alpha X Vs Lenovo Y7000

Hey everyone, just a quick post as I'm looking at purchasing before going overseas. I'm a visual effects artist so the main points of what i'm looking for is a good GPU with a reasonable amount of VRAM (4gb is a bit low, 6 preferential) and good processor.

I'm looking at reasonably powerful laptops and hence somewhat settled on the OzBargain deal Lenovo y7000 i7-9750h 2.6ghz - 4.5ghz 6c 12threads, 16gb ram, nvidia 1650ti 6gb, 512gb pcie nvme ssd and a Metabox Alpha X NH58RC (essentially the same specs but does allow me to upgrade the 120hz monitor, upgraded bluetooth/wifi and purchase 3 year warranty for total $200 extra).

Both come to $1500, with the metabox at $1700 with those mentioned upgrades.

So far pro's for the metabox are
* Removable battery
* mentioned upgrades

Cons

• looks less of a nice design compared to lenovo y7000
• total ends up being more (including shipping)

Lenovo Pros

• slightly cheaper
• sleeker design

Cons

• built in battery
• reviews say there can be fan noise at idle whereas the metabox can be quieter in low level use.

Any thoughts/suggestions?
