    Technic Compact Crawler Crane
    price
    Was
    $159.99
    Now
    $99.00

    Think ok at $84.15 :)

    • I think they don't refund the GST portion, so $99 = $90 x 85% + $9 = $85.50

      • Agree .

If that’s the case, I find that a bit misleading. Just as consumer pricing needs to be displayed incl GST, any discounts should also apply to the full amount. So if it’s 15% ex GST, why not just say it’s 13% or 14%?

        • +4

          Yeah that is pretty scummy.

        • +1

Valid point and one that should be raised with the rep.

        • It says on the website "You may not earn Cashback on GST, freight, delivery fees and taxes"

Not misleading, you just need to read the terms

          • @buckster: So you’d be happy for eg Harvey Norman to start advertising prices as $90 as long as they make it clear in the fine print that you ‘may’ have to add in GST yourself (not even clarifying what that total price would be)?

          • @buckster: But it's written under "Cashback Tips"
It should be in "Special Terms".

I also find it pretty scummy because there are some stores where the cashback apply on the included GST price and others on the exluded GST price.

They could just set the cashback at 13.6% to be consistent.

            • @lorikeet: I'm sure it depends on whether the stores supply a commission based on the GST included/excluded price, Cashrewards is simply following that.

As you said it should be under both categories, but it's far from scummy or misleading as others stated.

      • I can confirm they only give cashback on the GST excluded price.

Shopback seems to have 11% cash back

So anything over $130 will be better off using Shopback

    • So anything over $130

Should be $182, as the $20 cap from Cashrewards is still greater until that amount.

      • Yes, ur right

What…Cashback is ineligible on use of gift cards for full/partial payment.
