How long you can manage to get out of the MBP with the power bank?
i guess it depends on your usage, but haven't really measured it from the battery percentage point of view. 4.5-5 hours keeping my battery fully charged at 100% it's quite impressive while I am actively using the MBP.
What charging cables would you recommend

If you have a surface pro, these can also charge the surface as well. I have a Cygnett one and have been using it to recharge my surface. You just need to get a USB-C to surface power cable.
My mum has a macbook pro 2012. Is it possible to get a cord that can charge from this battery to the laptop? So that it doesn't require a mains power inlet.
such cable exists but it specifically states that it needs a 60w power source to charge macbook whereas this powerbank is only 45w

some portable battery packs support 60/80/100w charging but they are priced accordingly.
great powerbank… keeping my macbook pro 15 fully charged for around 4.5 hours
