Looking for a way to gift a colleague with a high value ($2000) physical prepaid Visa/Mastercard gift card. Austpost's has one that only goes up to $500 (link). I prefer to give him a single card of $2000. Don't want one with a signup process or to register personal details. I need to obtain it within one business week (for farewell presentation by end of next week). Any ideas/alternatives would be appreciated. Thanks.

Just give it in cash?
They want the tax benefits when giving prepaid gift cards I assume ;)
How does that work?
Best to get professional advice that suits your business's circumstances.
Get 4 of those cards?
It eliminates the risk for the receiver too, imagine to carry a card with 2k available to spend. Just my thought though
Good point.
give a cheque
Cheque or envelope of cash is definitely the way to go mate. Why place limits on how he can use the cash? Going to cost you money with the card fee as well, not worth it
I agree it makes economic sense but just seems cold.
These guys do up to $5000, so it is possible: https://corporateprepaidgiftcards.com.au/getitquick/ (googled it). Pretty card too. Mebbe give them a call.
Do you mind if I ask why?
Presumably a farewell gift as suggested in the OP
Thanks; the weakness of skimming.
Wow, $2000 on a farewell giftcard !!
In this case, username does not check out…
I skimp on products, not on people.
