Aliexpress DO NOT BUY

Order a Salange project screen. Never receive the package. Contact them and they said it's already been delivered. Asked them which address did you deliver, replied it's been delivered. Later on gave a tracking number and asked me to contact Australia Post. and i contact Auspost they have no record of the tracking number. A week later they sent an email said the product was delivered to the wrong address and i will get the refund. 5 days later still no refund and got another email from them saying there was an inaccuracy with the previous email. Then asked me to provide proof with document that i did not receive the package. What a stupid request. How the hell do you provide proof that you did not receive the package? how? and they said i should contact Auspost and ask them to write a letter that i did not receive the package. If Auspost doesn't even have a tracking number they are not going to waste their time to prove something that doesn't exists.
You have my warning guys and their communication is terrible. Their live chat took them 1 days to response. What a joke.

Put the tracking number in the AusPost website and take a screenshot of the "Tracking number not found." That should be enough proof that it wasn't delivered. Have you actually opened a proper dispute on AliExpress? They're usually pretty fair with the decisions.

    • I have had hit and misses with the AliExpress dispute team. One item that clearly stated it had cables included did not ship with cables, I opened a dispute and the seller called me a swindler saying there is no cable included even though it was on the product description and AliExpress sided with the seller. That soured my experience with the platform.

      YMMV.

    • i did open a dispute. nothing has happened though. on their system it say it has been delivered. so i lost my money and no product. super pissed off.

Doesn't matter what it says on their system you need to be armed with proof, and show them that nothing pops up on the AusPost tracking by uploading a screenshot on the dispute page. Nothing has happened in the dispute because you haven't uploaded anything yet.

Most disputes need proof to be dealt with

  • some of us have never used taobao… :(

Some sellers are great and reply often and quickly but some sadly are like the ones you described. If the sellers don't reply just open a dispute.

    • i did open a dispute. nothing happened though because on their system it say it has been delivered. and i asked show me the address that you delivered to. and they say it's out of their control. so it could be delivered to the wrong address and they don't want to admit their mistake.

  • Who's "they"?

    Aliexpress or seller?

    • I think "they" is the seller

      • How about "Their"?

        • I think the first "their" is Auspost and the rest is the seller. Because I don't think OP opened a dispute.

Have bought more than 100 items off AliExpress. Any problems have always been resolved either by directly contacting the seller or opening a dispute but I agree, shipping can be a bun-fight.

It's not always great. When they first started charging GST they didn't refund the GST component.

    • Does Aliexpress refund GST now? I got a DOA, going to ask for refund tomorrow.

I'm fairly sure the last refund about 2 months ago included the GST.

It was only a $3 purchase and the seller didn't muck about (item didn't arrive) so I didn't look that closely.

    • They refund GST? So we should be getting the full refund + GST? I'm a bit confused.

      • You should be getting refunded what you paid.

  • What a joke.

  • I love it when it doesn’t get delivered and they ask me for a “video”… oh kay then…

    • Take a video of your hand pretending to hold something.

That’s exactly what I do. Or a video of my kitchen bench, totally empty and me making a lot of sighing sounds…

  • CC Chargeback my guy

  • Frustrating! I also learnt a hard lesson after dealing with a Chinese seller at Alibaba.
No more AliExpress or Alibaba for me either. I hope you get your money back!

    • no i did not get my money back. (profanity) Chinese scum

Never buy expensive items from AliExpress. They're great for cheap stuff, but buying from AliExpress is always a gamble with regards to quality control and whether or not you'll actually receive your product. I'd recommend $100 as the limit.

  • I've got a bunch of things in my cart and your post makes me contemplate whether I should buy or not.

    • It depends on what the things are and how much are they. One thing you can try is ask the seller a question about the product and if the respond well in a reasonable time then they should be fine.
