Wrong Product Delivered, Seller Not Responding and eBay Is Doing Nothing at All

Hi OzBs,

I have bought two (2) DVRs from eBay and seller sent one wrong model and one correct model. I have installed on DVR (correct model) and after some 4-5 months I have installed second DVR (incorrect model). Seller is aware of it and now denying to send me correct model. I have been in communication with them about 3 months but from last month they are not responding at all.

eBay is not doing anything; I have asked eBay to block seller but they are not doing it as well. They are just wasting time from last 2 months or so; trying to tell me action has been taken.

Also, DVR is playing up as well. I am unable to connect 5 cameras; its limited to 4 where as its 8 ports. I have checked everything and cameras are working on other DVRs as well,.

Any alternate where I can complain?

    It's probably too late now but you should have opened a SNAD claim with eBay as soon as you realised that you had received the incorrect item.

      I did but they said its too late for them to do anything. I just want that seller to be blocked but they are not doing it as well.

        It's obviously too late now. You should have opened a SNAD claim back then? Did you expect a lifetime warranty or something?

        Why would eBay block the seller on just 1 person's say so? That's how they make their income.

    Ebay never do anything. You should always start with a paypal dispute.

      Um wut. Ebay practically always side with the buyer. Doesn't take long at all. I'm happy to keep purchasing on ebay but I'll never sell anything again as I'll likely lose any deadbeat scammer who buys from me.

    You took 5 months to make a complaint and you think they are wasting your time? Maybe you should be more proactive.

      Yes mate, I trusted the seller as one of DVR is correct model. I had a delay in installation because my home build was delayed by 6 months.

    PayPal has 180 day protection as a last resort. Maybe try that.
