Belong $25 Starter Pack for $10 @ Woolworths

150

Unlimited calls, sms, and unlimited data banking! Belong are a derivative of Telstra, so they use the Telstra network. Adding a referral code to your starter pack means you'll essentially be getting $50 of credit for $10 (for the medium starter kit) which is a great deal. Enjoy.

    Same price as Coles.

Ever since they started banning for having multiple accounts. These deals.not so great anymore…

    Good for new users

    • I have created multiple accounts no issues here.

      • Yeh I made a few but then afterwhile got banned. Your mileage will vary but others have reported same thing

        • Interested to know how many accounts you had? Also does banned mean all your plans were disconnected or just unable to register any new accounts?

Also, out of curiosity what payment methods were you using to verify i.e. was it the same/diffrent CC every time? Paypal?

My thoughts are Paypal is the best as you can easily stop the sub without contacting them to prevent overcharging but my assumption is they will probably limit it to one account?

          • @toimedianz: I had 4 and then banned. insatnt ban lost my number had to go thru million hoops to get my number back.

I think they either track the referrals or payment method or both. My accounts didnt even finish the first month and they banned me.

            • @Jaduqimon: Ok cheers. Thanks for that info. Im only thinking about using for a long term data solution and not going to put my main number over so shouldn't be too much of a risk hopefully.

      • After got banned they just quoted their t&C

        Which says:

Who is eligible for a mobile service?

To sign up for a mobile service you need to be at least 18 years old.

We only permit one Belong mobile service per person.

        • You could have multiple phone number for your family just like any other service providers.

        • How many accounts did you have Jaduqimon?

          • @Mokr: Got banned on my 4th account. But I did use referral codes on myself so yeh. 100% against their tos. I'm guilty just saying that these starter packs are not that good value for existing users if you are looking to refer yourself and transfer the data as there is a risk of belong shutting you down.

Other than that great value for new customers!

            • @Jaduqimon: I believe u can buy the starter packs then activate under replacement sim and the value is added to your account but based on forum comments

              • @Mokr: Yehhh I'm reluctant to push it again… Don't want to lose my number. Belong is good value still for Telstra network.

              • @Mokr: Interesting. Need to look into this. Do you have a link to the forum page?

Edit: Actually just realised this would miss out on the referral bonus.

I guess you can refer a family member, open the account, transfer the credit, then close account. Keep doing this for more credit and it won't be in breach of the TOC.

@haz: i got banned too because i used the same payment and email address with a dot over my family accounts so they closed them all

            • @hihi: thats the question want to know people who got banned..use same payment and email address?

              • @apokalypsez: yes i did use the same payment and same email address for 1 account and some accounts with different email adress. but they banned them all. so to be safe just use different email and payment method and different name :) you wont get banned

    • Why can't you have multiple accounts?

Do they allow kids to create their own accounts?

      • If the kids are over 18 then yes

Who is eligible for a mobile service?

To sign up for a mobile service you need to be at least 18 years old.

We only permit one Belong mobile service per person.

        • Who is eligible for a mobile service?
To sign up for a mobile service you need to be at least 18 years old.

That's why I set up their accounts under my name.

So Belong don't want families to belong to their service?

          • @jv: Families are welcome to sign up in their own name if they are over 18.

Yeh I'm not sure why every other provider doesn't care if you have multiple services with them…

I have like 20 Kogan services using the starter packs for my home internet lol

            • @Jaduqimon:

Families are welcome to sign up in their own name if they are over 18.

My kids are kids, and not adults.

So they aren't allowed to use a service with Belong then?

              • @jv: According to their TOs no.

                • +4

                  @Jaduqimon:

                  According to their TOs no.

Maybe they should change their name from Belong to Exclude

                  I'll stick with Boost then…

        • I currently have two services under my name as my kid uses one. Has been in use for a while now.
I took a third one in July for a month for temporary use by visiting relatives and then cancelled it (after transferring over to me the remaining data of course).

Don't know anyone else that got banned - this is the first time hearing about it. Did you use the same email and details when referring yourself?

      • I can attest, it happened to me too. Lost 4 accounts. Fortunately in my case, my main number was spared (main number was active many months prior the rest) but my subsequent accounts were banned.

        Previous discussions here.

        Again, YMMV.

still naven't answer that question..did you use same email or paypal/card?

          • @apokalypsez: Different emails and credit cards.

            • @hashtagbargain: wow ok. I used same credit card.

So this means they just track referral codes then… if an account has too many referrals and looks sus they will investigate and see the usage patterns. (i.e. whether theres genuine usage on those alt accounts or just purely activated to get the referal bonous and sending the data away)…

    Belong $40 Starter Kit - $20 @ Officeworks too

  • I am buying for kids. Got my son one already - all on my account - is an account limited to a single SIM??? I need 3.

    • +1

Just create accounts using different email addresses, that's what I did.

  • How much data will the $25 get?
I saw unlimited data banking, but that couldn't mean unlimited data for $25, at least for the 1st month, could it?

Also how to get a referral code?

  • -1

multiple account got banned? refer to yourself and transfer data across no longer work?

  • -1

    did you use different email?

  • They dont track email. My accounts all had very different email addresses.

I think they track referral and payment method. So i'm guessing if they see referral codes used on accounts with same credit card number or paypal account then it gets banned.

Even though they say 1 per person, there might be some kind of leeway as I only got banned when i did it on the 4th account. lol but yeh.

If you want pure data, the Kogan $4.90 starter packs probably better value assuming your area is ok with Voda reception.
