  • They also have the Micron Rev E sticks (Ballistix Sport LT, 'AES' in the product code), at solid prices, but delivery kills the deal compared to Amazon (if you have Prime, at least).

      Thanks, the city of Brisbane.

      Are you high or trolling?

  • 8gb for $69 looks like price error…

    • I did think this as it is marked down from $99 when other retailers still have it at >$150, but didn't want to call it yet as they are running deals on the whole line including the 3600mhz.

    • +1

it wasn't a price error. Just clearance!

      • are you guys going to have 50% off for the cloud alphas once again for black friday?

  • +3

    wow 4000Mhz

    • Can we use it as a processor instead?

      • Sure, it supports 3 instructions: read, write and delete, up to 4000Mhz.

  • I bought the 2x8GB kit for $200 literally last week…

  • This may be 4000Mhz but the description seems squirrelly as fook to me.

    https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/ble8g4d40beeak

    Is this actually 3200Mhz?

It does state that in one set of specs it is 4000. But the description is "up to 4000Mhz" and it keeps referencing 4000 M/Ts …

    • Model number implies 4000 MHz from a quick search

    • Sus this:
      https://www.legitreviews.com/crucial-ballistix-elite-ddr4-40…

"After installing the Ballistix Elite 4000MHz memory kit into our AMD X570 test platform we let it run without changing any settings. It booted up straight away and was running 2666 MHz with CL20 timings at a voltage of 1.20V.

So, to get the performance that you are paying for you need to enter yours boards BIOS and enable the XMP profile or manually set up the kit. We opted to enable the single XMP Profile on this kit and the Gigabyte X570 AORUS Master motherboard (running BIOS F6 – AGESA 1.0.0.3 ABB) paired with the AMD Ryzen 9 3900X had no issues booting. We were running at 4000 MHz, with the specified timings of 18-19-19-39-64 1T. The VDIMM was set to 1.35V and the system worked flawlessly.

When it comes to overclocking we managed to have a bit of fun with this kit. We weren’t expecting to see a huge overclock, so when got it up to 4400 MHz with the XMP timings we were left impressed. When it came to lowering the timings, we were just shy of straight 16 timings at the stock clock speeds of 4000 MHz. The Ballistix Elite DDR4 4000MHz 16GB kit exceeded our expectations at both stock and overclocked settings. If you are looking for an overclocked memory kit that still has more overhead in it this kit will do the trick."

Im not an expert, so I don't know whether this advice applies to all systems

Friend, this is a bit of a weird review considering you have to enable xmp/amds implementation on any board for your ram to run properly.

  • 99 in cart now

I found that adding anything after one is more expensive. Still pretty cheap making two orders:

      16GB
      79.50 + 109.5 = $189 delivered

      • Did not have this issue. My invoice shows 2x for 138

Should be $69 for the first one in any case…

Just check if you are you buying the right thing :)

          That is wierd.

Had same issue with two browsers.

    $69. Noice.

    • any chance of the bigger kits coming down?

  • I thought 3000 MHz is the sweet spot.
Now 4000 MHz for $69 is a damn good price.
Question is - is there any performance gain with the additional 1000 MHz?

    • tbh probably not unless your pc is relatively new you will get bottlenecked by your mobo anyway lmao

    Price is now $169.98

  • gg thanks for playing

FYI, for the two-stick Amazon AU is selling for $181.95 shipped (or $176.16 after cashback sites) delivered, for those who can't pick up or if MWave's shipping makes it more expensive.

    • Why is 32 gb significantly more expensive? Wouldn’t it be better to buy two 16 gb kits

      • Yes it would, buy 2x16 gb if you can.

I bought 2x8gb as I dont need 32gb but 8gb is sold out

        • The post is marked out of stock, but $169 for two sticks is still available and is still a really good price.
Somebody posted the 3600mhz at the same price a few days ago

  • i see 69 i hit like
