      I bought the camera's you're talking about - they do come with a different cable, video and power only - (from the images) these cables appear to allow an audio channel as well.

    A small warning: the "power" cable part is the same relatively high impedance as the A/V parts, something like 8 ohms round trip, so only useful for very low-power cameras.
    ie They have used triple-coax signal cable that was never intended for carrying power.

      Yes, i just measured the DC cable, center to center = 7.0 ohms. outer-outer = 2.6 ohms.
      cameras are 1.5W, so i guess that will be about 150mA per camera @ 10v supply.
      only about 1 volt lost over the length (18m), so not that bad.

      I bought 5 past time with cameras, now to install the lot.

    At first glance this appears to be a standard RCA cable (yellow video, red/white for stereo sound) but very long. Looking closer it is actually a proprietary cable (yellow video, white mono sound, red DC power) for a security camera.

    I see very limited use for this…
