Once all the bricks and mortar stores are gone, there will be no competition so they won't have to. Although we are moving to an all digital future so will likely be beholden to whatever the publishers want to charge anyway.

This is for Prime customers only. Is there a way we can get another country's prime and use it here, like we do for Netflix? India has a $20 membership, wonder if that will work here.
It might just be easier to setup a new trial account, as soon as you have registered a new account, you will see the option to sign up for prime trial on the product page.
Get it or wait for PS Plus?
Get it if you intend to play it (and you should). There's no predicting when things go on PS+.
Although you might inadvertently end up giving it to everyone for free if you buy it. Happens to me a lot.
Best game I have ever played, easily worth original RRP.
This is the only GOW title I have played.
It would be good on standard PS4, but the visuals are out of this world on the Pro and 4K HDR.
If ever there was a game I went into with zero expectations and it blew me away, this is the best example.
I was all GoW'd out after GoW 3 and Ascension. This game was everything I did not expect it to be. The combat is great now, and Kratos is no longer a dick. It's a much bigger game and a lot more fun. They put a lot of thought into designing its systems. It's hard to go back to classic GoW after this, and I loved classic GoW until 3.
Also, it looks great.
