Banggood Post Wrong Product and Refund Was Difficult

I bought an SSD case but they have sent the wrong type. Open a dispute with Paypal and try to get the refund. Been ask to wait for 3 days and the refund will go through. But it is almost 3 days and nothing has seen in my Paypal. So I sent an email and they said please close the case so the refund can be successful done.

Is this true that I need to close the dispute? Seems so weird to close the dispute first before I got my refund. I think I will go through Paypal path instead. Been good with Banggood but this order made me rethink of ordering from them again.

    That’s BS. Don’t do it.
    I can’t speak for Banggood but have had an ebay seller trying to pull the same thing.
    “We promise we will refund, really.”
    Then why not do it now?
    Just follow down the Paypal path until you actually receive your refund.

    • Yea f that shit. Politely tell them you don't understand why they can't just refund it immediately and that you prefer the security of paypal and if they object, be less polite about calling out a potential scam.

      I'm sure there's some benefit to them refunding it without involving paypal, but not your concern, especially at the cost of buyer protection.

    Don't close the case until you receive the refund. It is wrong for them to ask you to do this but i have seen it happen many times before.
    Most online sellers are very slack about being accurate with their listings, mobile phones especially!!!! Even if you ask for specific details for an item before you buy their reply is usually equally vague.
    They know that once they have your money it is impossible (almost) for you to get it back if they send an incorrect item. One of the risks we take shopping online with overseas sellers to get a bargain

  • Banggood once sent the wrong item to me entirely. They asked for a picture of item and shipping label and processed refund in about a week. I would’ve gone through PayPal if they were difficult about it, but asides from being a bit slow they were fine.

    Respond to the seller saying you will close the case once the refund is sorted.
