what do you mean register next year with a cost?
All drones >250g will need to be registered with CASA, may not be next year but ultimately will some point in time.
Registration with CASA. Being under 250g weight limit means no registration or accreditation is required.
until they change the law to over 249 grams
I believe you will need to register this from 2022 from what I last read.
Reasons to go the spark:
Front sensors and the extra weight will arguably help it in high winds.
Reasons to go the Mavic Mini:
No need to register, 3 axis gimbal, better video quality, better speed and better battery life
Aussie is using different rules, 101g-2kg, there is no size 250g.

They are trying to get rid of it since the New Macvic Mini Came out today, The Spark would require you to Register it next year (extra cost) but the Mavic Mini is 249 Grams
