Samsung JG50 27" Gaming Monitor WQHD 1440p 144hz 4MS VA - $383.20 Delivered @ Futu_online eBay

190
P20FUTU

Not an all-time low, but decent price for decent specs.

Model Number: LC27JG50QQEXXY

Seems to tick all the boxes, the only drawbacks I can think of being a lower colour gamut than higher-priced monitors, and the lack of freesync (Samsung must've left it out to keep costs down).

  • Can you get nvidia to sync up with freesync?

    • +2

This monitor doesn't have freesync, as stated above.

      • +2

Or any variable refresh rate ability… And, as you suggest, clearly stated by OP

    • Neg if wrong - but I understood that freesync and gsync were now interchangeable after a driver update (i.e. you could use a GTX/RTX card with a Freesync monitor).

      • That's correct, most Freesync monitors can have Freesync enabled with NVidia GPU's now. But it has no bearing on this device, as it supports neither.

      • +1

Yeah, that's my understanding, how well it works depends on the monitor's implementation of freesync. However, this monitor DOESN'T have freesync, or any type of adaptive sync.

I bought this monitor for $450 and it is brilliant. Games and video are crystal clear and the high refresh rate is very noticeable. Also a fan of the cable management system on the back.

How's the top line looking? A lot of ghosting, say two or more outline edges behind the UFO, or is it less smeary than that? Thanks in advance!

oh ffs, straight after I bought the Kogan monitor :(

    • How's the Kogan monitor compared to this?

      • Yeh its pretty good, can't fault it. I don't think i could go back to flat screen after using this
