This is the normal boxset, yeah? Isn't there a better 'super' ed. which corrects some framerate or something?

    Thanks for posting!

    • Special Edition solves some audio gripes according to Amazon feedback

      • There also was a brightness/resolution problem with the transcode to Blu Ray IIRC

  • It's cheaper on Amazon when you take away the VAT. It doesn't include delivery, however, you will get free delivery if you spend >25 pounds.

    • +1

A$22.56 for special edition from Amazon UK if you meet minimum spend.

Currency conversion of your card may vary.

    • -1

Thats not an equivalent comparison then is it? Either you have to spend more than 25 pounds for free delivery, or you buy the exact same set and you pay for delivery. Either way you end up spending more than this deal.

      • And neither is your comparison between The Hut's price and Amazon's price including VAT.

        • It actually is, because its the total price of the deal to deliver it to your door. The Hut's is cheaper plus free delivery is included. Am I missing something? If so please elaborate rather than negging and not backing up your statement.

        • No, because you didn't specify that in the original post. All you did was post Amazon's apparent price. Nevertheless, this is hardly a bargain - you're taking this way too personally.

        • +1

I didnt know this was a requirement that I had to post all the exact details of every possible retailer to justify my deal. Lol im not taking this personally, im just amazed at your logic and claims that the deal is better on Amazon.

Btw, I actually stated the following in my post:

"Also available on Amazon.co.uk for £14.93 (approx $22.50) but DOEST include delivery cost." followed by a link to Amazons deal. Lol. And that line was added in within minutes after my original post. If you failed to read that, thats your issue. So your claims again, are baseless. Double LOL :D

Region 2? Can that play on Australian Blu Ray players (Sony bdp-s370)?

    • Yes - Australia is the same Region 2/B for Blu-Ray - DVD is where there can be the problem but I think the Sony Australian firmware allows region free for DVDs!

      • +4

        Just to save the confusion:

DVDs are region coded 1-6. Australia is number 4, UK is number 2. Therefore you will need a region unlocked DVD player to play DVDs from TheHut/Zavvi/Amazon UK

Blu-rays are region coded A, B and C. BOTH Australia and the UK are Region B. Therefore ANY Australian blu-ray player will play a blu-ray from TheHut/Zavvi/Amazon UK. (Just make sure to check the Amazon UK listing in case it is an American import)

    • Region B, same as in Australia. Bluray has different region code than DVD.

Use the code "super1" to get another £1 off.

    • can confirm this works, thanks for that.
order placed and will await news of dispatch.

  • Good deal, does anyone know if you can use super1 and then use the 10% discount that a lot of us have?

    • what is this 10% discount you speak of?
i can confirm that the super1 code works.

  • This is the edition with dodgy transfer, get the special edition instead.

  • What is this about a bad transfer? I thought that was only applicable to the US version.

  • this is their normal price. not really a bargain.
every few weeks they drop it to 11 pounds (after VAT)

*edit, i just checked, i got it for 9.99 pounds a month ago

    • shipping?

    • Agreed its not really a great price for the series, it did drop to GBP10.99 - tax recently on amazon. Its actually just about the highest price its been since March on there

    • oops this is amazon's normal price*
