Hey all
Me and 2 other friends (all 18yrs) are travelling to Japan on the 25th of January, we arrive at 7.30am on the 26th and we depart on the 5th of February at 11.45am, we are booked in a hotel in Tokyo for 4 nights, Then we are spending 5 nights in a ski resort in myoko kyoto then spending the last night back in Tokyo, the activities we have so far is, mt. Fuji sight seeing tour, karting around Tokyo, and going to Disneyland
Is there any activities or must see that anyone would recommend?, Traditional culture doesn't interest us that much
Many thanks :)

Robot Show in Tokyo. Pachinko - watch YouTube to learn how to play before you go.
Robot Restaurant is fun
I saw the Robot Show last year and recommend skipping it. The show is flashy and loud, but ultimately really crass. There are no robots, just puppets of various size. It used to be called the Robot Restaurant but calling it a restaurant was a real stretch. There's a couple of prepacked meal options and everyone is squeezed in really tight.
If you want to see something unique try seeing an idol performance. They're nightly at Pasela Resorts in Akihabara. I saw Cerisier last year and it was a real experience seeing the show and how the crowd reacts. You won't get tickets to AKB48. Always sold out.
Akihabara looks like a place that I will definitely attend thanks :)
Eat ramen.
Ichiran Ramen
raw men
Disneysea! You’ll enjoy that too.
2nd this. Go to Disneysea rather than Disneyland if you don't wanna do both!!
I recommend going to both.
Unless you've been to Disneyland in other countries.I've been to Disneyland in Hong Kong and USA I'm not sure about the others
I believe we're going to do both of the parks
But will keep Disneysea in mind if we only go with one@Chef Freeman: if you only go to one, choose Disney Sea because there are some unique rides.
Maid cafe.
Have heard about it, will give it a look, thanks
Fuji Q if you are into roller coasters and haunted hospital
Thanks, will take a look at them
kabukichooooooo
Looks like fun, on the other side of Tokyo from where we're staying but I don't think getting there will be a problem with all the public transport
Whale
fishingscientific research.tried some in japan last year at Tsukiji markets
cant say I am a fan, has this metallic aftertaste… they heavily drench it in soy and sesame oil
prefer horse sashimi
The temple in Asakusa is worth a visit.
Also try the indoor Onsen in Odaiba
Anato no warehouse - one of the coolest arcades I've ever been too.
Arashiyama monkey park - cool mountain top full of monkeys (unsure if this is open during winter)
Teamlab borderless - cool light/art show, pick your days as it can be quite busy.
Fun2drive - if you're into cars, they run chartered drives and have a fleet of Japanese sports cars. And lastly, explore abandoned shit.
We are going back in 7 weeks and due to my partners strange ability to find locations with very little information we have a really cool abandoned mansion lined up with heaps of art inside, you may have seen it on YouTube. Otherwise there is plenty of really cool abandoned locations you can check out, just don't get caught!Anata no warehouse will be closing down permanently in November. So they won't be able to go to that.
Unfortunate as I loved that place too.Arashiyama is in Kyoto, they're spending their time on snow fields and in Tokyo.
I do want to see a big arcade, I'll have to have a look around for some, I like the sound of exploring but I don't think I have enough time for exploring, maybe next time when the flight scanner deals and my leave for work align :)
Browse the anime and electronics shops in Akihabara. Some real eye opening stuff there.
Akihabara looks like a great place, will keep in mind
We loved the Ghibli museum, but were quite big fans already.
Yes, Ghibli Museum is great if you're a fan of the movies.
Appreciate the suggestion but it's a miss for me
Tokyo Skytree is nice. On a really clear day you have a chance of seeing Mt Fuji from Tokyo. As for karting, it's great. Go on the 3 hour tour as you get a chance to go over the Rainbow Bridge at full speed. Awesome fun. The short one hour trips just crawl down some main streets in heavy traffic. Boring.
Skytree looks like a definite, and was conflicted between the 2 different durations of the karting but definitely will go with the 3 hour one now :)
learn some Japanese..
Just going to rely on Google translate
Nothing can go wrong right?
Piss Alley is a must do. Shibuya Crossing. Shinjuku, at night.
Piss alley looks nice, guess it's one of the only acceptable times to eat pig genitals
Yeah, there's some out there items on the menu's, I wasn't brave enough but my boys were.
