seems cheap enough but it's a hell of a long trip 70 nights at sea
Departing Sydney, $6999 for inside cabin.
Departing other capital cities, $7199 for inside cabin.
Add $2000 for outside cabin.

With stop overs around Asia. Seems like a contiki tour for retiree's
$6999 is ex Sydney without the need for a connecting flight, and find your own way home from London. Otherwise it’s $7199 ex other Aust airports. For info, the Columbus is the refurbished Pacific Pearl.
Old and small. You'd go stir crazy on it for 72 nights. Would be like a prison at sea!
These sort of trips are targeted to a different audience. For $7000 im pretty sure this is cheaper than a retirement village. Plus you get to explore the world at your own pace.
It's actually a very good itinerary, however, I've been on the pacific jewel (the former sister ship to this vessel) and after just a short cruise I was happy to disembark.
find your own way home from London
I confirmed with Imagine Cruising that return flight from London is included in the price.
Cheaper than renting in Sydney…
2-3 housekeeping visits per day + food drinks entertainment and water+electricity. On the other hand the per person cost is definitely going to be twin share. So $1.4k per week…
like Zaddo said ‘cheaper than renting in Sydney’
Only CBD though, whereas 'Sydney' objectively is much larger and can easily get rental for cheaper than 1.4k.
Not looking hard enough, I rent for $250 a week on my own in north sydney
Confirmed that only 3 outside cabins and 2 inside cabins remain available now, and very likely be gone by tomorrow.
Inside cabins all gone, so this post is expired as far as the headline deal is concern.
Considering it includes return flight and 2 nights in a hotel at the end of the cruise, pretty good value imo, the toughest part would be that the on board entertainment/lifestyle/food etc could become a little monotonous after a while (I've found the sweet spot for my family and I is about 10 nights, but obviously that'll be different for everyone).
I've only done one 5 day cruise but, I suspect, I would come back like a butterball after 72 days. All inclusive food is not a good idea for me.
Plus if there's a gastro outbreak you're pretty much screwed.
What do you mean if? More like; When!
After looking at the actual itinerary, it actually looks pretty cool. But 70 days is crazy even if it's only 1 or 2 sea days before a port.
Don't forget to factor another 1k for all the visas you may need and also a few 100 for travel insurance!
Not to mention gratuities for the staff.
Say US$12 a day that adds up.
I suppose I could live on a ship for that long.
It's just because it's a long cruise you'd be surrounded by people with one foot in the grave…
If your a cruising type that would be interested in this type, they already have the visas, and travel insurance is around $30ish for 10days
Ive done a 75 day one, It was long, but I quite enjoyed it.
I’ve seen the 2 pool per 2000 guest situation play out before never again.
How much extra to include a top tier beverage package?
72 nights of flying sounds horrible.
