Not as good as WH-1000XM3 or QC35 but under half the price so very good value

    • NC only, sound quality may be considered better

      • +1

I prefer the sound of the 4.50 to the QC35. Bose are better at NC.

      • I listened to a comparison of the NC on YouTube, I'd say it did about 60-70% of the cancelling that the WH1000XM3's did. Pretty decent. Deciding if it's worth double the price for me.

    • WH-1000XM3 or QC35 should be compared with sennheiser pxc 550. 4.5BTNC is cheaper version which is really good for the price

      • 4.5 has Superior sound, but worse nc

  • +1

Will office works price beat this?

    • +2

      No

  • +5

Rather inflated view of the RRP.

    • +1

Yeah, pretty much. I have the normal 4.50 and paid $205 for them a while ago. You can routinely get Sennheisers for much less than RRP. Having said that, $150 for these is a great price for an excellent BT NC headphone.

    • Agreed. I got these direct from Sennheiser as refub for $120 which was reasonable

  • +1

thanks been waiting for this one

  • +1

good sound quality, decent NC, but sometimes-awkward controls and intermittent disconnects. I have both this pair and 1000XM3. It's worth 150, all and all.

    • Controls are terrible hey, some if the worst I have used.

  • Can anyone confirm that these are exactly the same quality and style of the original Sennheiser HD 4.50 and that they've just got red trimmings?

    • +1

Just noticed the red trimming. A little off-putting.

    • +1

Exactly the same yes. Even still has micro usb

    • +1

Exactly the same product. The r in HD 4.50r denotes the red trim in this a special edition release.

    • Thanks =) I assumed that was the case but felt too good to be true with the lower price than the original and it being very limited to only a few stores

  • These have been approx 50% of the price of xm3 and the bose ones in the US for a while.

  • Got a pair cheers op.

  • These are good headphones, but comfort is really dependent on your ear shape. Try before you buy.

  • +1

Already have a couple of pairs of these, but would definitely recommend these. Can't speak highly enough of them and the battery is good too. Love the sound quality and they suit my ears. Definitely try them on to make sure they're good for you.

  • +1

These sounds like they would be good for the office.
Do these have tap to allow pass-through?

Can't find a definitive yes or no.
    Thanks :)

  • Can i use this one for editing videos? Whats the latency rate?

    • No these are headphones, a bit hard to edit videos with.

  • Can code be used in-store without ordering online?

      • Thanks man! I need to read next time :\

OK to confirm I bought these yesterday in-store at JB Moore Park Supacentre Sydney. The guy on the counter was a bit of a d*** and when I said "I have a code" he replied with "we'll see about that" but when I gave him the code and he punched it in he simply said "$149 please". so not a good experience BUT I can confirm the code works and you can buy instore.

    • +1

      How rude.

  • I made an account and subscribe to the deals via email but still have not received a code?

    • Use the code at the top!

  • Only problem is that you look fairly silly wearing them

    • Why they look quite stylish

  • Bought one. I still prefer the sound quality of my older Plantronics BeatBack Pro 2 and the overall feel as well.

the buttons are flimsy on this and small things like turning ANC on or off isn't a seamless experience (basically have to push volume up and down together at the same time to turn or or off). There is no voice feedback around battery life of ANC turning on or off so you are basically guessing. I found that the sound improved with ANC on but that might be a personal taste.

Overall I guess they are decent for 149 but I wouldn't pay full RRP for these. Still thinking if I should just return these and wait for a the Plantronics BeatBack Pro 2 to go down to 180 again.

  • From the operating manual:

Operating time 19 hours (Bluetooth and Noise Gard on.)
    25 hours (Bluetooth only.)
    Charging time approx. 2 hours.
    Weight approx. 238 g.
    Battery Lithium Polymer.

  • Has anyone ever negotiated on the ticket price and then used a discount code like this? make it a better deal if it works

  • Tried the HD 4.30 in store and didn't like how small the earcups were. Unfortunately couldn't try on the HD 4.50 on, and not going to gamble on these if they don't fit well.

  • So, these or HD25’s for $30 less?

Also can I opt to use these with the cable?

    • I can't compare to the HD25's, but I've had these for going on 6 months, comfy and perfectly fine for daily commuting.

You can use the cable with it yes, just be mindful you can't use the cable AND charge at the same time.

These shits r cheap but so damn uncomfortable for longer listening sessions. Idk maybe jus my elf ears

  • Yeah, the reviews I have read all seem to mention that they become uncomfortable for longer listening sessions (like movie on a plane)
