WINPLUS Lighting & Appliance Starter Kit
Remotely control lights and appliances around your home with this easy to install Timed Lighting and Appliance Starter Kit.
With its ingenious X10 technology, you can easily control On and Off timing of lights and appliances, use the Security mode to randomly activate lighting to give your home a lived-in look, or even use the Alarm mode to activate lights and appliances when the alarm clock goes off.
X10 technology combines the convenience of wireless Infrared and RF systems with the reliability of Power Line Carrier (PLC) technology, allowing simple plug and play installation.
Imagine having the alarm turn on your coffee percolator in the morning before you wake up, or coming home at night and using your key-chain remote control to turn on various lights before you enter the house.
This Starter Kit is supplied with a Keychain remote control, a Bedside Timer Controller, a Lamp module, an Appliance module, and a Transceiver module for the easiest possible start to Home Automation. All the items are DIY installable, with no wiring necessary.
The transceiver module receives signals from your wireless controllers and converts them to PLC commands that are carried along your existing house wiring to the Lamp and Appliance modules. The modules simply plug into 240V mains sockets, and respond to the control signals by turning on, off or dimming (lamp or dimmer modules only) as required.
As each module is coded, and there are 256 codes available, there are a huge range of combinations of items you can control, either individually or in groups.
Your Home Automation system can be very easily expanded by simply adding the style of module needed to control a specific item. You can add remote control to a single item, to specific areas of your home, or you can setup a completely automated house, the possibilities are almost endless.
