Note: just an FYI, there are two free voice packs that are available to download for this game - Polish language pack (the developer's native language) and Russian language pack.

But, you need to use a VPN to download these voice packs from the US version of Microsoft store.

I don't know why only these two languages were made available or why in the US but not in Australia, my guess is that it's something to do with licensing.

  • Theft, honestly.

    • Yes, but what can you do, when you want to complete an all digital collection

    • Not sure I understand? I'm tempted to sell my disc goty version and buy the digital instead….

      • That's what I decided to do as well.

I traded almost all my discs in for cash and console, and almost all my games are now in digital form.

This has meant that I don't get to take advantage of the cheapest games, which are mostly on disc or via a digital download code from third party resellers.

The digital collection I have now cost more, and digital form games will probably continue to be more expensive than their disc counterparts, because of lack of competition.

But, I have the convenience of moving my console around without having to take discs too, and I can game share with friends and family, which means we can halve the price of our games (sharing with three people can cut the cost to just one third of the digital download per person, and so on), and sometimes a game will load a bit faster than from a disc.

I also have the ability, as do disc game owners, to buy and download games from other regions using a VPN, cutting the cost again, but as much as half the cost or sometimes even less.

But that's not for everyone, a lot of people prefer the lower prices of games on disc, and being able to trade them in for something else once they finished with them.

So what's best really depends on the user, and whether they prefer lower cost or convenience.

          because of lack of competition.

Competition has a complete lack of evidence to show that it always lowers prices. It's a theory that fails to predict reality.

Also to say there is no competition in digital marketplaces for games is absurd, there are many vendors.

Speaking of that, how do you explain the lack of any price change whatsoever after the massive new competitor Epic launched a new marketplace? The theory fails again.

  • xbox version has hdr iirc. though tempted to buy the switch version if its the kind of game you put 100 hours into.

keep in mind if you're tossing up between them, switch is a lot lower res. It runs well and looks good on the handheld, but once docked we're talking 720p

  • Dumb question - what's the difference between The Witcher 3 and The Game of The Year Edition?

    • don't worry, dumb question…

    • The GOTY appears to include all expansions, including Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine.
