TPG Help =S

Hey Guys,

I have noticed I have been recently having problems with my internet connection via wireless. My modem/router is a TP-LINK W8960N. The problem is the net is so slow that it takes ages to load a page, and this is when I haven't even uncapped my plan yet. I tried to solve it by turning the modem/router off, then back on, that worked for a few hours, but now its getting back to the same problem. =S

  • tried resetting?

    is it only your wireless or is your connection bad entirely?

    how faraway from the wireless modem are you? same floor, floor below/above?

    • I shall try resetting, I don't think it is the connection. I am upstairs, the modem is downstairs. I also noticed the 'QSS' light on it flashed a few times today, even though my laptop was off and I didn't even press the button. =S

  • Perform an Isolation Test

    Also, post your modem stats by logging in at [192.168.1.1] and then copying/pasting the results here.

  • Update: I did a factory reset, and it now works like normal. =D Just remember VPI for TPG is 8, not default 0. =)

    • intersting, will have to chk mine.
