I am looking for a samsung 51" full hd 3d plasma tv, D550 or D6900. The cheapest I have found so far for D550 is at JB (in store) for $1150.00 and for D6900 at good guys (online) for $1397.00. Are there any other better deals out there? Please advise. Also, the feedback on the above 2 models is appreciated.

In terms of feedback, is the advanced suite of internet features on the D6900 important to you? If not, the D550 will probably do the trick.
Regarding xywolap's comments, TVs are a completely different type of product to the ones he has had issues with. Samsung are now a market leader in TV production, whereas they are not a premium brand in the other categories. Having said this, many people are of the opinion that the Panasonic plasmas are the best. One you may consider is the TH-P50ST30A.

feedback?? Personally I would not touch Samsung in a fit.. have had too many of their appliances (including a couple of tvs) fail. They are definitely not of any real quality. A SS vacuum cleaner just over 12 months old and rarely used burst into a ball of sparks!! My Samsung aircon is a piece of garbage as well. I used to like them, that is why I had so much of their stuff but I have learnt better now.
I have had an excellent run out of all LG, Panasonic and Sanyo products. If longevity of the product is of any concern then they are the way to go.
