This is the newest Asus 14' duo screen design laptop, if anyone is interested in this new trend.
Retail $2399 according to Scorptec https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/Notebooks/Notebooks/7820…

  • What's the difference between this one and the pro version? Is it just the specs with i9 etc?

4k oled and 15.6 inch screen and another $3000 :)

      • thank you! the extra $3000 is insane haha

So no Thunderbolt 3? Would have grabbed it if it had that.

  • +3

So disappointing at these prices still just one year warranty

    • You understand Australian consumer law applies?
Apple just replaced my iPad Pro at 22 months (equivalent value) for light bleed on one edge and mostly at my word an unresponsive touch screen basically on visual inspection only with a completely new unit
Why whine about something that may never be an issue and if it is know that you are covered?

Spoke to ASUS and it is a 1 year warranty (unless you want to take it up with ACCC or maybe threaten ASUS that you'll go to ACCC). At this price, it should come with longer warranty.

Its air vent will be blocked completely if you close the lid when using the laptop.

    • A lot of laptops have the vents inside the hinge, not really a big deal

Which one? Please provide the example.
I can't think of any other laptop is blocking the air vent when the lid is closed.
This is a design fault which is unacceptable.

The scorptec on linked is 1tb ssd, also seeing using the laptop for a bit now it's a bit chunky, and the second screen isn't as easy to use as you'd think
