Campervan Discounts for NZ

I thought the bargain hunters here would absolutely know. I've been doing some research for a family (2A +2K) trip to the south island of NZ and think a campervan would be fun. Not having to pack and unpack and check out at a certain time and settle into new beds is tempting with kids. But I'm yet to locate a good deal on a campervan. i was thinking of Queenstown since Jetstar fly there (and currently have return for free) - but that appears to limit options.

I have an entertainment book with 10% but not sure if there's something better out there with NRMA or a credit card or something?

Any ideas?

    It really depends what time of year you are looking to travel.
    During winter campervan hire can be very cheap.
    Don't forget to budget site costs.

    How are you ascertaining if it is a good deal or not?
    There are definitely multiple companies with offerings, so the competition is there. Demand will drive the prices on offer.

    The other comparison would be for hiring a car and incurring accommodation costs.

    There's a site called Share a camper that is like the Airbnb of campers, I've never used it but may be worth a research.
    Also, be wary about the ridiculous freedom camping laws in Queenstown, so you'll have to pay to park at a holiday park or camping site if you want to stay right in Queenstown
