For Costco members, their bigger Huggies boxes are on sale again starting today until 10 Nov 2019.
    Normally $51.49, currently $44.49. $7 off.
Cheaper per nappy if you have the membership to get it. For example, Size 1 224 count works out to be about 20 cents a nappy. Size 2 200 count is 22 cents, etc. Can't recall what the counts are for the bigger sizes. Might be able to confirm later today if I go. They have their own exclusive bulk box so it's hard to check and they are bigger than the Mega boxes available at Big W and Baby Bunting.
Anyway, this deal for a Jumbo box is pretty good if you dont want to buy so many nappies in one go.

          • To get back the $$$ and save you some bucks @ Costco * Snap a photo of the current costco huggies promo price where you are at the store ( including the serial or barcode etc ) and show the photo at refund counter . Costco staff can refund you the extra cost you paid previously as long as it is within 30 days . Note* just pass them your member card and they can check what you have purchase previously without bringing back and show them the physical huggies . Hope it helps :)
          • @qliz: ^ confirm this worked for me

          • @qliz: Omg this is genius. Hahs off to Costco for being so nice too!

I used this website to check what Costco stocks (e.g size, number of nappies per box etc) so I don't have to go in-store every time.

For expecting parents I wouldn’t buy more than two boxes unless small babies run in your family. My boy was 3.6kg and we only went through one box - I find huggies sizing runs smaller than other brands (we mostly use Aldi these days).

In saying great I’ve had no issue swapping unopened boxes at coles for bigger sizes

    • There are different packaging for the Huggies Ultimate Newborn (54 pack, 108 pack, 160 pack etc). Which 1 would you recommend getting?

      • Only two Jumbo boxes of newborn nappies max (108 count). That's if your newborn is expected to be in the average weight range of about 3-3.5kg. If it's more than 4kg at birth then I've heard some bubs go straight to Size 2 instead.

        • Should I stock up for size 2 instead? How many should I get?

          • @LKJ899: How heavy is your baby at the moment? Size 2 is most useful so I think 600-800 nappies of size 2 max, if your baby is about 3kg at birth. Then just get 100-200 of size 1 for the first few weeks and see how you go. You also don't want the fit to be too big otherwise newborn poo is very runny and can leak easily, if breastfed.

            • @kaebomb: baby is not even out yet….so unsure what i can stock up to save $

      yea this^

we were given some, then when finishing wife bought a huge box, then we gave about 60% of that to other expecting parents. they gone through 1st stage quite fast,so far we are 2 bulk boxes in stage 2

Agreed - we have a 6 week old who was 3.5kg, after a fortnight we went to size two and are onto our second massive Amazon box 192 nappies

192 nappies definitely does not last a month btw :)

He's about 5.3kg now so will probably last in this size another month or so before we move him up…

Agree on Aldi being great - once he moves from size 2, we'll shift to Aldi nappies which are as good as Huggies but much cheaper.

Newborn 108 and Infant 96 Pack AUD $24.99

What about the Nanna 32 Pack ???

    • Lame joke. Go look for the Tena or Defender range if you want.

        Lama joke.

        sure…

  • My kids were forecast to be 2.7 and 2.9kg … turns out they were 2.5 and 2.7kg
7 weeks in theyre probs just under 4kg.
I'm finishing up on the huggies essential nappies size 1 and moving onto aldi size 1 - that seems to be bigger.
