Why do you not check and let us know?! No-one is biting here.

      • -1

According to your title it does.

        • -1

Why dont you do a bit of research what it actually means? It is simply a delineator in relation to platform.
Don't be one of those "I post no deals but instead many comments to provoke and complain" users.

          Have a good night.

@Lysander: [PC] though includes personal computers running Windows, Apple software, and Linux. :-)

            • +1

@askbargain: Yes, PC technically includes all those. Windows OS isn’t what defines a computer as PC. If a game runs on Windows and MAC then it is a PC game. If it doesn’t run on MAC…. it’s still a PC game.

@SlappersOnly: Did you see that Lysander made that same point on another post? Lysander got upset by it, but it really isn't a big deal. Lysander could have just put a smiley face and moved on.

Lysander makes an absolute ton of awesome posts, but also likes to correct people a lot, yet doesn't seem to enjoy being corrected.

                • @FabMan: Sure. I get it. They were trying to call Lysander out about correcting someone. My point is that they completely failed because they are either intentionally be oblivious or they are misunderstanding that a PC game can be Windows, MAC or Linux but it doesn’t have to be Windows, MAC and Linux.

I’d be fine if they just openly called Lysander out for being rude about what is defined as PC (it’s common practice nowadays to basically think of PC as a windows operated computer). I’m just not gonna agree with the way they tried to do it. It’s like calling someone out but doing the same thing you are calling them out for.

                  • +1

@SlappersOnly: No, they knew, they are mocking Lysander, that is why Lysander said: "no-one is biting here", however by writing that, Lysander was definitely biting. By doing to Lysander what Lysander did to someone else it highlights how annoying or pathetic it is, Lysander should have just laughed it off.
It really should be a non-issue.

@FabMan: “You become the thing that you hate”

                    • -1

@FabMan: It really is not about being corrected which is totally fine with me if warranted and justified.
However, in this case it simply was not. While I understand that some people understand PC to be a computer running Windows that is objectively just not correct as per correct usage and definition.
And this was discussed so many times already, maybe even by the same people (I haven't checked but would not be surprised).
What I have to admit is annoying is that the people who provoke, make useless and unproductive comments, are very often those that hardly contribute to the site by posting deals and instead just seem to get enjoyment out of what I almost consider harassment of other users. Of course, there are very nice and reasonable people falling within the category of making only a few posts and many comments but unfortunately these either seem to be in the majority and/or less "vocal" on the whole.
As I said in another post, I have been making notes about this observation for about twelve months now and it holds true in a very large majority of the cases. I would have some choice words for those people but I cannot write them here as that would incur a ban.

I am not where you get the impression that I correct people a lot but if we are talking about what was linked, it was meant light-heartedly [hence the :-)] and done in a post by someone who knows how I meant it - dealbot has a good sense of humour and is a great guy. Plus, technically, what I said was correct so what gorillainwild did was in fact inappropriate (again I cannot write the appropriate word as then there is ban danger again).

I do agree though that things like this should be a non-issue - however, for as long as I can remember this website has not been able to control these things for whatever reason. If they actually stuck to their own rules (repeated trolling and provoking incurs a permanent ban) then the situation might improve but I do not see this happening any time soon or at all as instead certain type of comments and the users who make them seem to be "glorified" (one "two letter" user comes to mind in particular). I guess the only recourse I currently have is to block users who provoke and control which I will likely start doing from now on.

Anyway, thank you for the positive words.
Have a great day and weekend.

                      • @Lysander: Honestly still don’t understand how JV is still a thing? They very regularly cross the borders between light hearted humour and personal attacks. The rules here make no sense.

                  • @SlappersOnly: It has been the practice to call an IBM compatible computer a 'PC' since 1981 when IBM introduced its first model. IBM compatible rapidly became synonymous with MS-DOS and then Windows 3.0 and 3.1. Apple computers in fact actively campaigned against the idea that they were just another 'PC' for many years, portraying Macs as cool and PCs as stodgy guys in drab suits.

As far as this game goes, I really enjoyed it. One of the best superpower games available for PC.

                    • @Rayve: Yeah. I realise there’s a history and Apple wants to be different. They can campaign all they want, they are still a personal computer. The only major difference I see is you can’t really build your own unless you make yourself a ‘Hackintosh’

      • You got called out for correcting someone on another post. You have definitely bit on this bait otherwise you would have ignored it.

  • +2

I played it was good not great, finished it pretty quickly so I don't feel it's worth $55 for a single player game.

    • How long did it take you to finish? How did it run on your computer?

      • +3

Hey it was like 10-11 hours, it wasn't challenging enough I felt and the ending was so so, I had a 1080 on a 34" ultra wide it struggled around 40fps on med, don't think it's well optimised !!

        • What resolution are you using?

          • @Rodgort: 3440x1440

            • @solidussnake: Thanks for sharing the info. That's very good to know.

            • @solidussnake: Your card is really underpowered for playing the newest releases at that resolution. Its not ideal but you're going to have to make some sacrifices in terms of graphics quality if you want to play at native res.

      Strongly Disagree

Same here. It felt like Alan wake mod with a different skin.

    • +5

Yeah future possible deals are always a good reason to neg a CURRENT deal. Unless you can find it lower NOW then the deal stands.

      • Chill with the all caps, brah. You're not intimidating.

  • Great game, complex story, kinda has a lost room (2006) vibe. The DLC with an Alan Wake cross over will be the winner tho, I'd wait for that.

    Is this the Steam Game?

    • -3

Do something productive - maybe some volunteering for Guide Dogs or RSPCA.

      • +3

You have tagged it as a Steam Game.

        • -1

Not really as often those things pop up automatically but it is corrected and PC game added as well.
