  • I recently got the Turanza Serenity Plus on the last 4 for 3. Nice and very quiet ride

  • +2

I quite like my set of Serenity Plus tyres. They don't deliver the same fuel economy as the previous Hankook 'eco' set, but the ride is quiet and grippy.

Do not even contemplate getting Supercat tyres. I had a set, and they were easily the worst tyres I've ever had. Squealed when pushed even slightly, always slipped on wet white lines at traffic lights, easy to make spin in a low powered car. Avoid. Pay $20/tyre more and get something far better.

    • +1 for the 1st sentence. Replace Hankook with Pirelli P7. Had the tyres for about 15000 kms so far with minimal wear.

      • Yeah Supercats are pretty crappy. Poor grip and squeal around roundabouts.

Worst part in a way is that they last quite well, so I can't justify replacing them yet. Nearly 40,000km and a fair bit of wear left.

Ok for low speed driving in a flat quiet town with minimal rain and traffic.

  • I've got a 97 Tarago - seems to have an unusual size tyre - 215/65R15 96V

Don't think Serenity Plus comes in the above size.

Can anyone recommend a good tyre for me?

I have also read Supercat are crap, so don't want to get those.

Hah, just looking at some of the 'reviews'

Much better than the bald ones I had! Chris

    Not sure that should count…!

    • Says a lot about the quality of drivers on the roads

  • What do 16" of the Turanza Serenity Plus usually cost?

    • Just rang up and $150 each for 205/60/16
4 fitted balanced alignment for $450

  • Just enquired for these yesterday.
Turns out if your not close to a store you can get Kmart MyCar Auto shops to price beat. Bridgestone had $597 for x4 turanzas 215/55r17 kmart beat to $594 and instead of finding a ride back and forth I can get my groceries done at the Westfield while my car gets sorted. Plus they do x2 6 mth rotations, and free puncture repairs or if beyond repair a replacement in the first 12mths.

    • Wasn’t sure KTAS/My Car dealt in Bridgestone anymore since selling out to Continental
