2019 Hyundai Venue Go

Has anyone bought one of these? Happy with the purchase?

I've got a broker that has offered to trade my 2011 i45 active with 112k and roof is minor hail damaged for a 2019 Hyundai Venue Go Auto with metallic paint, 7yr Hyundai warranty for $18k change over. They havent evaluated the trade in and are buying 'as is', where as, every dealership wants to run it over the pits for an hour (understandably).

Im pretty close to pulling the trigger as it seems a pretty good deal and it means i dont have to fuss around.

  • Base 19,990
    Auto 2,000
    Paint 495
    On road costs ???? 2.5k ??
    Total $27k

    27k - 18k = 9k trade-in value

    • Website puts it at about $25k drive away RRP

  • According to my research. About 3 thousandish.

  • got the break down today and was also looking at going to the active as its not much dearer for what you get;

    Trade In $5,500
    Go Discount $1,976.30
    Active Discount $2021.30

I'm leaning towards the Active variant for $19,500 da
I've spoken with a few dealers and it seems no one really wants to move much more than a few grand off the price, but then give me next to nothing on the trade in.

    • Steel wheels…yuck!

      • i know lol…. the active model is 15' alloys

  • So paperworked signed. Pretty happy with the price.

    • Hi there. Planning to get this car too. How is the car so far?

I was surprised you managed to get such a low price? $3000 off rrp that's pretty good! Mind you i am in Perth though not sure if that makes any difference

      • So far so good.
I live semi rural, so there are a fair few hills and while the 1.6 does have enough to attack them, you certainly hear it drop a gear to rev up staying around the 60 mark before it flats out again.
Lane assist is a odd feature that reminds me of a bowling ball with the guard rails on.

Cost wise, it's great, though wish I had the option to go to a 2lt kona. Budget unfortunately didn't cater and couldn't get much movement on price.

I think currently you'd find a lot of dealers willing to move on price given the current economy, sharemarket, virus driven issues etc.

I'd suggest to find a car broker in your area and see if they'll give you a price.
You need to know what figures you're happy with before going in.

I rang probably 5 or so dealers and said to them, "unless you can beat $xx I might as well not waste each other's time, so happy to negotiate, but if you have no flexibility at that price point, I'm out."

        Good luck on your purchase.
