Was looking for a laptop, needed the following requirements:
Expandable RAM to 32GB
2 x SSD drives (NVME + SATA)
FHD Screen
RJ45
AMD GPU

Found the Lenovo E590 for $1169.43 delivered. Takes 3-4 weeks to deliver.

Would of like better battery life, but sacrificed it for the 2.5" sata drive bay.

  • Why you prefer amd gpu?

    • Hackintosh option

    • Because Lenovo can sell more of it through his recommendation

      • If only I got kickbacks lols

        • -3

No kickbacks if you’re on their payroll.

Also did you mean igpu as that would make more sense but this isn’t amd igpu.

          • @MuddyClear: I'm on the lenovo payroll? I got an email the other day saying I was apart of the illuminati. You are highly mistaken.

As for igpu, it's not a intel HD or a AMD vega apu, so no, it's not an igpu, again highly mistaken.

@Posts: Good to know you are apart of illuminati and not part of it.

You might want to explain why you wanted AMD GPU since you are aware this laptop has no amd igpu.

              • @MuddyClear: I'm sorry, but you're beyond saving. All the best with life tho.

  • Any deals on Thinkpad T series laptops?

    • I had a look and it doesn't seem to be. As much as I would of like a T series, I couldn't justify the higher price difference.

Main difference is they loose the 2.5" sata drive bay, longer battery life and I think the screen is brighter. Price difference was roughly 50% more.

  • When does this code expire?

  • how are the performance of the rx540/550xs?

    • -2

Rx 550x (mobile) is worst than igpu Vega 10 so probably closer to Vega 8 performance. Bad deal at this price.

      • Vega 8 and Vega 10 are only available for on the AMD (desktop?) chip. There's only been 1 instance I'm aware of that an intel chip had the vega gpu on it and that was Intel's Hades Canyon NUC which wasn't cheap.

The only other option is the intel HD620 which the RX550X is a much better option with this notebook. The intel HD620 option is like $180 cheaper if you downgrade to the i5-8265U processor. I don't know why you've got hate for this deal. Sounds like you're protecting your own interest but not saying why and that's giving you the benefit of the doubt that you're just a douchebag. Are you a reseller for another notebook company?

        • -3

Plenty of laptops with Vega 8/10 graphics. Do yourself a favour and research before you start ranting nonsense again.

Also we are still waiting on why you prefer AMD GPU on a laptop - I’m ready to be amused.

          • @MuddyClear: You're proving my point exactly. You don't "understand" Vega apu are build into AMD CPU chips. They're not seen on intel chips except for the rare example I already gave with the Nuc.

It's not that I'm lazy I don't do research, I do. It's that you don't, and you cover it thinking I don't do research.

I've also already explained why I prefer the AMD gpu on the notebook. You obviously don't read and assume everything which just shows how you don't care about details or bother about them.

            • -1

@Posts: Why do continue to provide explanations for something that was never asked. Forget research because that’s not even remotely possible when you don’t understand what is being asked. And you should refrain from name calling because it’s not helping you. Time to move on… had enough of your AMD GPU rant

              • -1

@MuddyClear: because providing baseless information is not good for anyone. I understand what is being asked, and I understand the sly methods you're deploying to misdirect attention from your mistakes. You obviously don't care about helping others and you obviously don't do research, so better you don't say anything and stop spreading misinformation.

    • If you're comparing against the intel HD620 which is your only other option for this notebook, here's a benchmark between the two: https://technical.city/en/video/UHD-Graphics-620-vs-Radeon-R…

Still not a great performer, but then again, it's not a gaming notebook. There are better notebook options if that's your focus.
