Bought Disco Elysium yesterday also and that has just superseded everything else on my current backlog and taken top spot/GOTY contender.

I saw the ACG review of disco elysium, it looks awesome. Never even heard of it before. Unfortunately I don't game on PC at all. Do you think it would be possible to do a console release, as in would a controller work? Or definitely needs keyboard and mouse? I'm just really hoping they might do a console version down the road if it's possible.
@Shaun Prawn: Absolutely no reason why it shouldn't work with a controller. It's not at all a fast paced thing and similar isometric games which use the same control scheme are already on consoles.
In saying that however the current PC release actually doesn't have pad support yet; I imagine it will be coming along with console ports within the year. This has certainly exceeded expectations across the board and has been a Steam #1 seller for two days now. Devs would be mad not to capitalize on the console audiences.
@Stoibs: Awesome! That sounds promising, I'll just keep these fingers crossed. It looks like a genuinely very original game, I love the art style too.

@doublehelix95: It does if you’d already preordered it. I preordered it a few weeks ago and the price automatically adjusted when it dropped.
@doublehelix95: If you had your pre order in before the price dropped or while it was at the lower price then you will get that price when it's released.

How are games more expensive to make but cheaper to sell?
I know cartridge were expensive to produce ($144 mortal kombat 2!) and cd/DVDs helped but games were never this cheap before.
What's changed?

They end up selling alot more these days. Also I think in medievils cause it's meant to be a budget title so they aren't charging full price which i can respect as I don't think I Would have pre ordered if it was full price.
This is going to sound strange but I kinda miss old expensive prices.
I'd get 2 games a year, birthday and Christmas and I'd play them to death.
Now I got so many games I don't play, I need to have kids so they can play them, just to feel I got my monies worth!
@iamhurtin: I hear ya! Even with kids you'll still buy too many, I don't commonly notice what rating a game has, but you'd be surprised at how many titles have M, MA and R classification! Not exactly kid-friendly!

I played this game at Pax in Melbourne and the controls and camera were terrible. I loved the original, and the PS1 version was good for its time…but it felt like nothing had been improved for the PS4 version…really recommend you try a demo or something before you pay for it
