preowned stuff are overpriced to begin with

    • yeap… ebgames preowned price sucks..
so you end up losing more money and need to use the $20 credit on even more overpriced items on ebgames..

So many Xbox 360 games I want, but very few available locally and the postage costs wouldn’t make it worth the effort.

    $74 for a pre owned Ps4 controller…
    $78 for pre owned Spider-man

    what are they smoking

    • They have a lot of customers that believe EB is where you buy games. Those customers look at the RRP vs preowned and that preowned is cheaper.

Does this count for in-store purchases? Not keen on buying preowned online as they will likely be missing manual & original cover.

Yes it does. I saw a sign at EB when I was in-store yesterday.

When their pre-owned prices are higher than competitors new prices you know you’ve come to EB

  • A lot of the games I had a look at the postage was $14, what a joke. This was also for 1 game, not a combined postage for a few games.

There were some alright prices in the pop culture sale that just finished.. if this deal was active for that, maybe EB would have gotten some of my money..

  • People who buy from ebgames are usually clueless about how much cheaper the prices are elsewhere..

It is quite interesting to watch the types people that buy games or gaming consoles thinking they got a good..

    • Honest question, for someone that just got a PS4, where are the best places to buy games? Asking for a friend…

First and foremost, subscribe to Gaming deals if you haven't already.

        • Amazon AU, especially if you are an Amazon Prime subscriber. They also often match the cheapest retail price, sometimes even beating it by $1
        • Big W
        • Harvey Norman
        • JB Hi-Fi
        • PlayStation Store AU (not sure how much of a difference it makes whether or not you are subscribed to PS Plus)
        • Target

You could always price match at EB Games, with their return policy sometimes it ends up working out better than buying elsewhere. But matching another store can sometimes be a bit of a pain.
