I want to port out from Catch Connect now I have run out of credit. It seems like they have made it so I can no longer receive calls or texts. Is this normal? The same thing happened to my wife. If I can't receive a text, how can I port my number out to Telstra? Have they made it so I have to recharge if I want to port the number? Is this legal?
On the Telstra website it says: Transferring your number to Telstra. Once you submit your order, we’ll send a code to the number you’re trying to transfer to verify it’s really you. It can take up to 4 hours to receive the code.

5.7. The additional period
(a) If the balance of your service is zero because:
(i) your credit validity period has expired and you have no extras pack on your service. or
(ii) your credit validity period has expired and any extras pack on your service has expired
you must recharge your service or add an extras pack before the expiry of the additional period.
(b) If you do not recharge your service or add an Extras pack before the expiry of the additional period
in accordance with paragraph (a) above, we can cancel the service without notice. If you recharge
your service or add any extras pack before the expiry of the additional period, the service will be
fully restored.
(c) The prepaid mobile SIM card can be used for incoming calls and SMS only (for pre-paid mobile
services) during the additional period.
(d) We may, but need not, send you SMS reminders to warn you that if you do not add the minimum
credit before the expiration of the additional period, your service will be cancelled.
