½ Price Reva Clothes Pegs 48pk $3.20 @ Woolworths. My last packet was Australian made but I think that has changed, still out last most brands.

These are terrible compared to what they used to be. I have old ones which are outlasting a new packet I purchased.

    • Used to be Australian made and lasted years

Now the packaging says “pegs from Australia and China” whatever that means!

I go wooden pegs now. When they do break it's better for the environment instead of spreading more disintegrating plastic everywhere. So far they've been pretty hardy to the outdoors anyway.

True so long as they’re sustainably sourced.

The Australian made Reva pegs I continue to use were purchased over 10 years ago. They never break but do lose them occasionally.

            Still looks newish.

ex-housemate used wooden pegs and some had blackish (mould?) spots. YMMV I know

Used to be good, now just landfill quality.

Is it really a bargain if they are crap quality?

      Did I say something wrong?

You've struck the core of every hardcore bargain hunter. Uncovered the question they can't being themselves to confront.

I bought a 20 pack of stainless steel pegs off eBay for ~$4. They're a little small for the stainless steel foldable clothes lines (tube is too wide), but fine for regular clothes lines.
They should last longer than these in the sun.

I note there's also some stainless steel French legs that have a lifetime warranty and are ~$2 each…

  • Can you still get the Australia made ones at a reasonable price?
