Cinema Savers 2-for-1 (Potentially $9.40 Each)

20

As far as I can tell these are identical to Australian Movie Vouchers. Valid at IMAX and lots of little independent cinemas (but NOT the majority of franchise cinemas like Events and Hoyts). There's a $7.95 shipping fee so it only works out cheap if you buy the maximum number, otherwise you can get a better price elsewhere (e.g. Always On Sale).

SPECIAL OFFER: PURCHASE 2 ADULT TICKETS FOR ONLY $18! SAVE $18! DON'T MISS OUT - AVAILABLE UNTIL SOLD OUT!

Don't go to the movies alone - take advantage of this fantastic Cinema Savers deal and take a friend - with 2 tickets for ONLY $18! Book today and don't miss out on your favourite movies, including Bridesmaids, Hangover 2, Cars 2, Kung Fu Panda 2, X-Men First Class and many more.

Valid for 12 months and with minimal restrictions, you can now watch what you want and when you want at a brilliant price. Purchase this great cinema savers deal and enjoy fast and hassle free delivery straight to your door Australia wide!

Please note - limit to one booking per transaction.

(N.B. I have no idea what "limit to one booking per transaction" means, but it could just be some random text from their usual theatre ticket offers. I've put through a transaction with Qty = 10 so I don't think that means you can only buy 2 tickets max @ $18)

A bit deceptive as also have to pay extra for 3D movies. So once you add $7.95 shipping fee and surcharge for 3D movies - won't be a bargain any more.

T&C: "The cinema may charge the user of this voucher a premium for any additional service or premium offered that is in excess of the value of a "standard adult ticket". This may include but is not limited to: a surcharge for premium VIP ticketing options or a surcharge for provision of 3D.

In the case of Imax, a standard adult ticket refers to an adult ticket for a film of less than 60 minutes duration (ie documentaries), films that are longer than 60 minutes would be subject to a surcharge (ie feature films)"

    • awww :(

    • Yeah, I don't know of any vouchers for any cinema that includes the 3D tax. As for IMAX movies, I've never had to pay extra even for full-length features, although it's been a while since I last tried - they may have changed their pricing policy to improve their margins, in which case sad face

    • Maybe it's better value to stick with the Australian Movie Voucher - no extra charges for watching movies, including 3d.

The only condition is that you can't use it within the first 7 days of a movie's release.

  • Aren't Cineplex tickets normally cheaper than this anyway? I'm sure I pay $6.50 for a student ticket at the Southbank IMAX. With this deal you have to spend $188 dollars for it to be $3 more expensive per ticket?

    • Lucky you! The prices in IMAX Sydney are a lot more than that! (Haven't checked recently, but it definitely wasn't $6.50)

If you're with MBF for health insurance, you can get $9 cinema saver tickets (min 4 per purchase). No shipping fees because you just get emailed vouchers which you can immediately use.

    • The MBF tickets are for the franchise cinemas. This is kinda its opposite, covering IMAX and the "arthouse" chains (Dendy, Palace, etc.)
