Or two pairs of MASSDROP X KOSS KSC75X ON-EAR HEADPHONES, USD $14 (after $20 off) + 5 P/H

Or any other of their own Drop Studio range spending over $30 minimum order.

Some suggestions: Get a PortaProX or two pairs of KSC75X. Or get both on new accounts or one of each together perhaps. Also consider swap attaching the arguably superior drivers on to the headband. The KSC75 is becoming widely known as an exceptional headphone and this deal being the lowest prices since a long time, also with an optional headband modification is unbeatable.

You can sign up on a referral link for this Drop Studio new account promotion as well. The discount won't stack but the account will keep the referral bonus for next time. I'm unsure when the promotion expires, however it's been on for months and I've seen someone mention it ends this weekend. I checked that Ozbargain didn't have a post yet so I figure I had to post it.

  • time to make a new account?

  • that price is after 20usd off ?

    • yes, edited post for clarity

  • Thanks! After my purchase I was presented with

    "GIVE $10, GET $10
Introduce a friend to Drop! They'll get a $10 credit when they sign up, and you'll get a $10 credit once they place their first order. Limited to new Drop members."

Does anyone know if you can stack this with the coupon by making a second account?

    • You're welcome. Unfortunately it won't stack with this promotion I found. But you get to keep those referred bonuses for next time.

  • The Koss KPH30i would be an option as well if there was an active drop (it goes for US$20/piece). I think it has the same driver as the Porta Pros (the version of Koss' driver that isn't titanium-coated), but they've mostly closed the bass ports for a more neutral sound.

Is there an expiry on the deal? You probably need to note in the title that it's a deal for new customers only.

    • From the post regarding expiry:
I'm unsure when the promotion expires, however it's been on for months and I've seen someone mention it ends this weekend.

Good point about it being for new sign ups only. I had that in the title until a mod edited omitting that and put the wrong prices…. lol

      • Fair enough!

FWIW, I would consider using this elsewhere, as the kind of prices you're coming up with in these deals aren't any better than Amazon's sale prices for the regular versions, and they'll likely be up for grabs again in a month.

And forget what I said about the KPH30i, it wouldn't fall under this deal.

        • I think you're confusing my description for two pairs KSC75 for ~$28AU total, so ~$14 each. I don't see any pricing close to this deal on either except going back years further. Also a difference worth noting with the Drop version is a thinner rubberised cable with microphone.

However the KPH30i if available could be part of an order to make the minimum, sure. Based on what I've seen about them, they're adored by some for their sound but still less neutral while coloured.

          • @Dapple: The Porta Pro went on sale for US$23 on Amazon US in last year's Black Friday sales, and the KSC75 were US$11.50 in May. The KPH30i are regularly $20 on Drop.

The KSC75 deal is great, but for people who aren't looking to buy two pairs of headphones, all I'm saying is it's not a huge loss if you opt to use the code elsewhere. If the lack of an in-line mic is a deal breaker, then by all means, stick to the Drop versions of these.

            • @jasswolf: Oh I was looking in Ozbargain's product history where those aren't shown.

              • @Dapple: Well the products are 35 and 15 years old respectively, so the advice and interest tends to fall in and out of circulation.

As I understand it, Koss only have two variants of their dynamic drivers, and they simply experiment with different housings and padding materials to modify the sound signature, but it generally sounds best as an on-ear design.

  • +2

KSC75's have been one of the better headphone bargains for at least the last decade. Great sound for very little money

  • Does this include gst?

    • Doesn't seem to include any tax in the invoice. However I received mine without issue.

  • Anyone buying in melbourne want to split kcs75?

    • hey i'm after a pair so let's get them together so we can get the deal and split shipping?

      • Mate, have you gotten the pair? Looking to get a pair too.
