Hi everyone,
I just moved to canberra, lyneham area. i am just wondering if there is any grocery shop to get cheap vegetables and fruits (maybe some nuts, deli and condiments too) around this area or in the cbd?
Where to Shop Groceries in Canberra?

The IGA in the civic bus interchange is really good for cheap fruit and veg. The fresh food markets in belco and Fyshwick have good quality produce, I wouldn't say that it is cheap though.
I was in ACT for 3 years. Fyshwick was pretty much the only market I found useful, they're not cheaper but you can get better deals on their last afternoon each week. They also have more than one veg place so it's worth checking prices.
I found if you can head to supermarkets away from the CBD you'll get cheaper goods, if you have a car
The CBD was always expensive, outer suburbs were cheaper, some Aldis were good but it was trial and error. If you don't have a car, don't be afraid to take an adventure bus ride in different directions and checkout different places, and you can always look into free coles delivery for your bulk stuff. The first ones free and then you get periodic free offers with a minimum spend in your inbox. $150 for free delivery sounds a lot bit when I added in paper products, cleaning supplies, drinks, wine/beer/etc if you drink it, and all my staples from flour, sugar, coffee tea, cheese, frozen goods, it added up fast.
Then I could just get fresh stuff without carting huge amounts of groceries on a bus
Theres the farmers market on saturday morning in EPIC, fresh food markets in belco and fyshwick (fyshwick is bigger) or colesworth
