Very strangely, my iPad has been experiencing 4g drop out using an Optus sim that I have contracted for 24 months, however, using kogan(Vodafone) sim works completely fine.
What action do you guys reckon I should take?

Have you tried the sim in another device? Just to see whether the device or sim is the problem
Have tried many sims (all Optus and mvno like Amaysim and catch two of each) but this is the first time trying a different sim kogan(Vodafone) and no issue what so ever. Makes me wonder, if the network is the issue. Although my other devices that are with Optus have no issue, pretty perplexed rn.
That's weird.
Does it happen if you only use 3G?
What version of iPadOS are you running and what model of iPad is it?
Have you checked https://www.optus.com.au/shop/mobile/network/coverage ? and try entering all of your devices one at a time? I believe that different devices may use different 'bands/frequencies' and therefore you can get different speeds/disconnections because not every tower may have the same bands/frequencies as your device. Kind of hard to explain, maybe someone with more knowledge may explain better. I suspect the iPad may be missing the band/frequency of your nearest tower and your other devices have that band/frequency.
Reset the network settings on the iPad?
