Decent price for 100 sheets from a store/retailer. Good price at $0.76 per sheet. The ones I purchased have an expiry date of 01/2021.

This Fujifilm Instax Mini Film can be used with your Fuji Instax Mini Camera. Each 10 sheets of film come packaged in a handy cartridge which is easy to install so you can do it yourself. The paper is credit card sized so you can easily fit your photos into a purse or wallet and carry them around with you.

  • There are 100 sheets in this pack, so you can stock up all at once.
  • The film is suitable for use in your Instax Mini camera.
  • The paper is white with a gloss finish.

From the same retailer you can print an A5 image for 7c.

Why is 76c for a sheet half that size good value?
Am I missing something here? More than 10 times the price for an instant Polaroid that's smaller/inferior to a professional print at higher resolutions.
That's a huge penalty to be 'cool' and have an instant print to flick around.

I feel sorry for people who are getting scammed like this.

I tell customers this. Even the ones that want to print photos at home. Cheaper at a retailer. But they all love the "convience".

      • I guess more dollars than sense with some people.

What are people going to do with that Polaroid anyway? Isn't a digital hi-res image instantly shareable to everyone more convenient?

        Silly people :).

i guess i'm just a silly person with more money than sense

i do street photography every now and then when i travel. i have the instant printer in my bag and i print out some of street portraits that i do and give them to the person i had just taken a photo of… as a thank you for being my subject

            @Archi: That’s an awesome idea.

Do you have any of your work online? Would love to see it.

            • @cnut: i'm not a professional photographer so do I don't have anything like an online gallery. just do it for fun when i'm travelling.

It was an idea I picked up off a professional photographer, Zack Arias

(sits UFO down) son as you go through life you'll learn that there are 2 types of people in this world, those that are Ozbargainers and those that aren't….

it is like, why should I drink a beer in a bar if I can go to the bottle shop and drink it at home.

      • +1

Nah….. the bar has other people, its social, you can meet your future wife there ;).

A Polaroid gives no additional benefit as far I can tell?

polaroid is fun as well. In my last trip to Japan, I gave a few polaroid photos as a present and people really enjoy it. specially, if you give it to someone that you might not see again

          • @montero_t: That's actually a fair point. Sharing a quick hard copy with someone to give them… but that person for whatever reason isn't 'connected'.

Would be rare these days I would think, but I guess possible.
Very good- there's a scenario I could see this being useful. Rare, but possible ;).

When you have kids and they want to capture those moments whether birthdays, new born baby, family visiting whatever- it's convenient as someone mentioned. My daughter has these plastered all over her wall.

      Thanks OP.

Excellent price. Cheaper than ebay without coupon codes. However, I reckon on ebay you'll get newer stock with longer expiry dates. I'm just guessing.

    • On ebay I found the expiry dates to range from 09/2020 to 02/2021 for the cheapest options but YMMV

  • Do these have expiry date?

    • The ones I purchased have an expiry date of 01/2021 but YMMV

    • They don't really expire in that they will still work, it's just that the colours might just not be as accurate/pop as much the more past the expiry date they get.

      • Yes true, but it's still important to consider whether you will use the majority of them before that date.

  • Appears to be out of stock in a lot of locations now?

    • Cheers could you report it to the mods? I can't expire it and I've already reported it once.

      • It's technically still in stock, just limited/almost sold out.
