Ozito Power X Change Blower. Which One?

There are several blower/vacs in the Ozito power x change lineup.
I like a good blow, but is the more expensive brushless blower which takes two batteries (so 36v?) much better than the cheap $70 model? I don’t need the vac function, and I have several batteries, so I am primarily interested in understanding if the low cost model performs much more weakly than the brushless for twice the price.

I have a 50cc Makita petrol blower now, which is adequate, but I wouldn’t like weaker.

    I have this: https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-power-x-change-18v-blower-…

I Paid $12.50 for it. Would not pay a cent more.

It is good for a courtyard kind of setup. The battery does not last long enough, The power is ok for dry leaves etc, but not mind blowing.

I second this, bought that little one after previously owning the recently-recalled corded blower.. paid about $60 on some sort of sale i think…

Compared to the powerful options, its a toy! It does kinda work but if you are used to a bigger one, it feels not much better than cleaning the patio with a hairdrier….!

    I like a good blow

I'd recommend the Bangkok Soi Nana or Pattaya 6 models either would suit your needs not sure if they're available in Australia though

I've got the 2x 18V Jet Blower that you're talking about.

I haven't tried any of the other blowers to compare it to, but I'm blown away by how the one that I've got performs. It pushes out a lot of air - enough that you can feel a fair bit of force pushing back into your hand when you're running it at full power (some of the cheaper ones do lower volume but at a higher speed)

Considering that you get 2x 3Ah batteries and dual fast charger with the dual 18V model, I think you'd be nuts to spend $70 for the cheaper skin only model.

Yes, the brushless 2x18V jet blower is much more powerful (and louder) than the single battery 18v blower. The jet blower has a wider opening so it's more like the volume of air being pushed rather than the speed of it. Leaf blowing is a breeze compared to needing a sweeping like motion for the 18v version.

I've got the expensive 2x 18V blower vac and it's pretty much the best garden tool I own.

Generally blow stuff first onto fence line, then run along the fence vaccing up everything, empty straight into the compost.

The vac only really picks up what's right in front of the tube, but on our courtyard and decent area of fake grass it's perfect, much faster than picking up by hand.

Yeah I have the 36v Ozito and it's pretty good. It's very good value in the bundle pack with the skin, double charger and 2 x 3Ah batts for $149 - which is a promo pack, so when they're sold there's likely to be no more. Considering that the skin alone is also normally sold for $149 it's well worth grabbing if you think it's suitable as would be a bitter pill to buy later at full prices. FWIW the specs of the blower in terms of performance slack up very well against even the much more expensive AEG 58v stuff etc - is a top class item on performance for any blower with batteries.

  • Thanks everyone.
I went with the $149 model and am pleased with its performance.

    • Does it appear stronger than the 50cc?

I think so, but I haven’t done a side by side comparison.

      • Try it on max power and hit the Turbo button, mskeggs
I only discovered the Turbo button after a couple of uses and I'm impressed. Does drain the battery quicker though.
