Even worse if you drop it… the Samsung cases are the only ones I have ever damaged a screen with.
Hear, hear. They charge a premium for what turns out to be absolute rubbish cases. Except that the mistake of buying one can be very costly in more ways than one, as I recently experienced. Samsung are not very customer focused when it comes to handling of damaged devices in case of relatively low impact falls where even a cheap cover would have protected the screen from damage, yet their cases do not.

yeah. especially if you use a case because of the edge screen. I got some on eBay that have flaps that go all the way to the back

Be careful with the case. The front flap may give you a false sense of confidence as being extra protective of the screen. Nothing could be further from the truth. Of course, once your screen gets damaged, a friendly, customer focused Samsung will tell you that the case is not necessarily meant to protect the phone :-).
I know, already broke a screen once in a different case just from a light tap against a bench whilst in my pocket. Samsung CS don't care one bit, most unhelpful. I don't think I will buy Samsung or a curved edge screen phone again. But I do like the look of this case, just have to be careful I guess. Currently using a heavy duty case which offers great protection but is bulky and ugly. I'll alternate between the two.
FYI if you buy the case (at least for the note 9) and use Tap and Pay, the case is powered by NFC, so paying with the phone will be inconsistent at best, unresponsive to terminals at worst

Bought the case last deal. Worst case ever if you use your camera alot. Holding the phone with the flap down is just awkward AF.
