24 Pack of Fanta or Sprite 375ml Cans - $11 @ Woolworths

280

Fanta and Sprite both have new, lower sugar versions in the market.

Personally I much, much prefer the original, high sugar content ones. Sadly the high sugar versions are no longer sold.

Anyway the new low sugar version cans are both on special this week at Woolies for $11 a slab.

Ends midnight Tuesday 1 October.

This is the first time in a long time I have seen the price of Fanta and Sprite vary so much from the price of Coke

Coke is $19.90 for the same size 24 can slab:

Note also Sprite is now lemon/lime, not lemon….

Why can't they just sell Fanta Zero already :(

They have the small cans, but it's so expensive.

    • I think this low sugar version is the interim step. Both taste crap compared to the original.

Eh, it's subjective, I quite like Coke No Sugar, of course Coke Original is better, but I gotta cut calories somewhere :)

I hope they bring out Fanta No Sugar to the bigger cans, Fanta is easily my favourite drink.

      • I'm personally disappointed that there is no rebellion against the new versions, its just like crappy spite in Europe :(

        • just like crappy spite in Europe

          that's annoying…

Dies it have artificial sweeteners? Or just less sugar?

    • I believe it's just straight less sugar. It's about 40% less.

      • Sprite
Sprite launched with a new recipe containing 40% less sugar (compared with Sprite) in August 2019. With its great Sprite taste and unique lemon lime hit, it is perfect for moments of refreshment.

          Contains stevia.

          • @crayner: Why do they bother with so much sweetness when it's not what people want when they want lower sugar beverages

@DemocracyManifest: Agreed. I quite like the Schweppes mineral waters with less sugar, but not artificial sweeteners.
I would like more options like that.
But I only occasionally drink softdrink, so I guess I'm not the target audience.

            • @DemocracyManifest: Sweet is addictive that's why

      Dies it have artificial sweeteners?

Yes, too many artificial sweeteners and it dies…

    • Carbonated Water, Sugar, Food Acids (330, 331), Flavour, Preservative (202), Sweetener (960).

Sweetener 960 is Stevia which is natural. But it still has 8.6 grams of sugar (compared to Classic Coca Cola which has about 10 grams, not much of a difference really)

  • Lift is also $11, if you can find it.

  • 24 Pack of Fanta or Sprite 375ml Cans - $11

That is around 1kg sugar for $11. Not bad…..

Lower sugar? Yuck. If I wanted to drink healthy I wouldn't be drinking Coke products.

    sprite was always lemon/lime

  • I still have a few unopened high sugar/classic 375ml Fanta cans with the 10.9g/100ml of sweet goodness. Maybe I should preserve them for years and later sell them on ebay to some nut job that wants expired classic Fanta. Is there a market for this kind of thing?

    • There’s only one way to find out

  • I really wish they'd bring the ice cream soda flavour to Australia. So damn good
