Has anybody heard anything about any of the retailers taking part?
We're about 5 days away from Triple Force Friday and with Toys R Us gone and no word from Target, which seems to be reducing its toy section, or Big W which has all of its dramas lately, am I right in assuming the Australian toy retail environment has become so bad that theres no stores out there who will support an event like this any more?
Well the 2015,16 and 17 Force Friday's were held by multiple retailers who held midnight events so I don't think it's too much to expect that maybe at least one of them might have been holding it. I know kids aren't much into old school toys any more but the collectors market is going strong.
Oh well guess I'll be going online.
I reached out to both Target and Big W on their socials and both said they have no plans for events. Big W didn’t even know if they would be stocking merchandise, I’m sure they will but whether or not it’s right away or much later. Target however did say they were expecting new Star Wars stock soon, so I’m assuming and hoping that means Friday.

Yep, ended up getting The Mandalorian from Zing and the carbon Sith Trooper from Amazon. Might go check out Big W tomorrow to see if they've got anything else.
Lego is. But what else did you expect? Toy sections of most department stores are like three aisles these days, with Star Wars toys squeezed onto a couple of shelves.
