  • Which codecs does it support? Can't find any references.

    • Also, the official site says it supports BT 5.0.

    • I think it will depend on what your phone supports and sends to the speaker.

So tempted but I enjoy being able to hear.

    • You're expecting a 40w speaker to blow your eardrums?

      • No… but I expect over a long period of time…

Hence why I think a good quality 10w is more than ample, that being said… this is STUPIDLY good quality and the price is NUTS! The only thing comparable in price is the Anker Soundcore 2. The only thing comparable in sound is the Anker Soundcore Pro+ which is more than twice the price with less watts and some say slightly lower sound quality.

    • 40watts RMS is in fact quite powerfull. More than most people realise.
This would not even come close to it.

Although it would probably sound pretty good

        I don't think it's 40W RMS

      • +1

Nowhere does it mention 40W RMS,

it says MAX which is = PEAK (or PMPO if u prefer)

    40W? Yeah, nah!
Hate these fake rating systems. If it was 40W then its 6.6Ah battery would only last 37 minutes, not 15 hours.

  • The code only allows to buy 1 item only …WTF.

    RMS = 0.707 x PMPO or Peak.

Even so the Power {W} = Current {i} x Voltage {V} can be used to calculate the true wattage… but for audio it is more complicated as we all have different interpretations by our ears n brain…. watts are not the be all or end all .

    • I can ask Tronsmart to change that

      • Thanks clear appreciate it..didn't realize it was 1 only ..hard to do stereo with only 1 …lol

        • Tronsmart said they can't alter the code itself but did say if you were to buy another at full price and use the contact seller method in Amazon they'll refund the difference.

          • @Clear: To much messing around …have cancelled my order.

I have one of these, bought from a previous amazon deal, but good thing is it doesn't mind being dropped!
Sound isn't bad for the price and it is reasonably loud when cranked up.

Now in my usage experience I've never been able to get close to 15hrs battery life, best is probably about 8hrs on 30-40% volume level connected via bluetooth, which is fine in a quiet environment but not much use when you're in a noisy area.
Doesn't seem to matter if it's connected to a tablet, iPad or phone, though i haven't tried using it only with the micro SD card which may improve battery life.
Or maybe my speaker has a dud battery as I've seen some reviewers stating they get 15hrs battery life..
Crank the volume up to anything over 75% and the playtime drops considerably.

Here is good review on it's sound - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewerq6FwyFs best listened with headphones.
