Im presented with two different solar panels. Both will cost me the same and Im having trouble deciding which one to go with.
Option 1:
Canadian Solar 330W Kupower CS3K-330w Mono PERC
Pros
- Slightly higher module efficiency (0.46 higher)
- Warranty is now 12year
Option 2:
Trina Honey M 330W DD06M.08(II) Mono PERC
Pros
- Installer has in stock. Can be installed next week.
Warranty is 10 years.
Which one would you go with?
Price doesnt matter, both will cost me the same, right to the cent including everything else, difference is brand of panel. Not looking for SPN to beat.
IMO panels are so cheap and easy to replace and will continually go only downwards from here. Forget the brand and go with the one with longest warranty and best efficiency balance. Money should go towards the inverter.
Yup, already picked the Fronius inverter, no question about it.
Both options are the cheaper Tier 1 panels so really not much difference.
The general advise around solar is pick a quality inverter as that's the most likely item to fail.
Also worry more about getting a decent installer (check reviews)
I'd pick option 1 just because of the extra warranty (for what it's worth) and slightly more efficient.

I would go with option 1 :) Due to higher efficiency and warranty.

If be seeing was a step up to qcell, rec,winaico or lg (in that order) would cost to get a better panel. First couple on that list likely aren't much more
You don't give the price how can people here help? Ask spn maybe they can beat that price
