As a business owner to use square pos
We use Square in our business with both the iPhone app and the desktop PC app.
Cannot fault the system, it is very responsive and really does everything it promises. Payouts normally take place the next day
I use Square at my sporting club to take card and cash payments for the bar and canteen. It is easy to setup and train people to use. The next business day payments into your bank account are excellent. The analytical tools it offers to measure sales and the reports for reconciliation of accounts make running a small business a breeze. I use it to record inventory, so inventory received less inventory sales should equal stock on hand. If stock is missing (damage, theft), I can record that as well to see if there are any trends. What is also useful is to be able to monitor live sales remotely, and remotely receive stock alerts when stock is low before items are out of stock.
Judging by your username, I'm guessing you want to use it for customers to pay for your photography service? If that's the case then I don't recommend square, they charge 1.9%, you can get it cheaper elsewhere.
Yeah, using for photo service, but trying to streamline the works.
Do you have any other advise on other brands with less cost?
The new model of the Square terminal charges 1.6% per transaction.
Lots of small sellers use it, I was going to use it for my community group to stop people saying they didn't have cash and paying for the activity, but haven't introduced it yet.
