Use of eBay Gift Cards - can you use more then 8 if buying small items adding it to your account? more or less

Hey everyone. I want to purchase an item worth $1900 from ebay with the ebay gift cards I have in. I have around 12 I need to use. Ebay states you can only use 8 per transaction and not totalling more then $1500 in one transaction. Someone mentioned about using a gift card to purchase something small and the remainding balance goes to the account. Could i do this with all my gift cards then essentially use more then 8 giftcards more or less? can anyone please assist me as I couldnt find where I read it and if its accurate or not.

    Have you tried applying more than 8 gift cards? I find that there's several stories floating around on the limit of GC's and their value which can be applied. Best to try if you haven't.

      Yes try to apply more than 8 gift cards, to see if it works. I think from previous discussion about Ebay gift cards the $1500 is firm limit, but people have been able to use more than 8 gift cards per transaction.

    Why don't you fire . Worst case is $1500 limit but I think 2 K can be hit . 12 cards is not the problem as already confirmed much more cards than that can be used .

    It might be that u can accumulate up to $1500 per day but use max $2k might have to wait 2days.

      I believe it is a maximum of $1500 per transaction each day and up to $5000 in gift cards per month.

        And there’s no way to save to put more then $1500 per transaction is There ? :(

          I don't believe that you can, by any method use more than $1500 per transaction, by saving it or otherwise. Unless someone has been able to? I would love to know myself.
