    How to notice a scam.

    Espcially

Seriously, only idiots would click the links.

Unfortunately the majority of people who fall for these scams are the elderly. Articles like this help with educating those who don't know any better.

      • I am very doubtful that you would see any elderly lurks in OzB. Pretty hard site to browse imho, espcially for computer illiterate elderly, and then also the idiots category (for all ages).

And for the smart ones, well, smart. Wont fall into the traps.

  • No sympathy for anyone who falls for this crap.

    Scuzi,

Your OzBargain membership has been suspended due to irregular activity.

Please respond with your bank details for us to identify your account, and your bank password for us to verify your identity.

This type of scam (account payment problems) isn't new. If its not Netflix, then it's PayPal, telstra, next new company etc.
Reading the article without being able to identify and understand how and why its a scam, doesn't mean you won't fall for the next scam with a different company.
