How do they feel, anyone recommend this?

    • I'm also curious!

    • +3

I'd wait in another deal from tlc pillows, end up around the same price.

Same construction, local/smaller company with excellent customer service

They post deals on here from time to time (was one last week)

    • I definitely recommend it. But, try to find the correct one for you otherwise it's just really uncomfortable. I bought a Therapillo and it was fine but it took maybe a week to get used to it because it's harder than what I was used to (I actually misread the label & bought the wrong one). But I also bought a Dunlopillo and it was just so bouncey and nice to sleep on. I've had both pillows for a year and I sleep on both every night (Dunlopillo for head, Therapillo to cuddle with). The pillows feel like they haven't changed shape at all during that time.

    • +1

Comfort wise - isn't all the hype that people say it is.
Durability wise - it does last longer compared to the cheap ones

    • Depend on the person, go to a nearest Myer and try it out, HS also selling them.

    • They're super firm and hard to get used to. I'm still not used to how high my medium profile and medium firmness pillow from the traditional cheaper ones. I feel it raises my head way too high for a comfortable sleep on my back and I end up sleeping on the side or on my chest sometimes now. Been using it for a few years now, I don't even know what a good pillow is anymore.

    • I've been using the Classic pillow for about a year now and I like it. It's very… squishy, which takes some getting used to. It's kind of the opposite of memory foam, it bounces straight back.

Generally I find it really comfortable. As a stomach sleeper it's maybe a little thicker than I need (side sleepers might find it more to their liking) but it's soft enough to counteract that.

I have had these for years and they are still amazing. This is a solid price too.
If your bed is firm, go for a firmer pillow and if it's soft/plush mattress, got for the opposite.

    • +1

Its great - its the barefoot investor pillow if anyones familar. Love it, buying 2 now as gifts for my parents

  • thanks, i had some other brands which felt way too warm, wondering if these will be better

  • +1

I have the Talalay Latex Classic. I came from low, soft, cheap pillows, so it took a bit of time to adjust as it was firmer & higher. But I absolutely love it now. By far the best pillow I've ever had.

    • +1

Had the exact same experience, best pillow I've ever owned. Just purchase one for the wife cause she always tries to flog mine.

    • Do they get warm?

  • +4

If you not sure. go for the medium profile and soft feeling one which is closest to the normal cotton/polyester filled pillows but with a little bit more support which it's good for back sleeper. If you like sleep on your side, get the medium profile medium feeling one. IMO, High profile is for large people with wider shoulders.

    • +3

I don't know how I sleep anymore. It's all possible positions.

  • +1

Can confirm that this is a great pillow. Have been using this to resolve my back/neck pain sleeping from previous pillows. had this for a year and it still holds its shape well, comfy every night. Bought 1 for wife too and she loved it. It has the "just right" firmness for me. Note that this pillow can be a bit high even for the medium and I got the low profile which isnt on sale here due be me being shorter (165cm). this is btw a great price as i think it sells around $80 on average in Harris Scarfe

    • confused, why does your height have anything to with the pillow thickness?

      • Maybe they mean that if you're shorter overall you're more likely to be less wide across the shoulders?

        • Yeah, sort of. shorter people tend to have smaller build, hence shorter neck, shoulder, etc. all in all, try the pillows

  • wohoo got the classic for $59.9
    $74 elsewhere

  • +1

These are never sold at RRP, permanently "on sale" at Harris Scarfe and other eBay stores.

  • Good pillow but have seen this at other stores for only about $5 more, quite frequently

Has anyone tried one of these new Ikea pillows and can share their thoughts?
    SKOGSLÖK - https://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/80452696/
    RUMSMALVA - https://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/50446758/

How do they compare with the Dunlopillo pillows for comfort and longevity?

  • -1

Microcloud is so much better. Who agrees?

    • +1

I'm just about to replace my Microcloud pillow actually. It was good when it was new but after a while the pillow has lost a lot of its support/springyness.

    • I agree… I have been using microcloud for a few years now. But I only get around 12 months and 5-6 washes before they go lumpy.

    • Agree with the others. Microcloud pillows are (at first) super comfortable, but don't remain comfortable long-term like latex pillows.

  • Feel like I shouldn't be spending more than $20 on a pillow for my budget

    • +2

I felt like that. I've quite liked targets 15 dollar side sleeper ones. Sadly, they go very lumpy and uneven within 6 months though. So… I've splurged. I spend half my life in bed, gonna be worth it.

      • Fair enough. That's a good rationale to spend on a pillow

      • +1

I had Dunlopillo pillows when I was a kid, they last anything up to +20 years (I can confirm this)

        • Are you still using it?

        • They've decreased in quality over the last few years, so that may no longer be current advice.

    • By Checking ozb and end up with impulse buyings or saving a mere $5-10, you better save and spend triple of that $20 for a good pillow.

      • What's a good mattress to go with these pillows ?

        • +3

buy 10 of them and stitch them together

    • If in Victoria, could always get a pair of luxe pillows from Tontine outlet store.

  • +1

Cheers OP. Was in need of a new pillow.

To anyone interested, use their pillow guide here

    • It's a joke, just a marketing gimmick. Despite my preference for something soft/medium multipurpose, it would recommend to me the New, most expensive, 'Therapillo Cooling Gel Top Memory Foam Pillow in High Profile'.

      • Hmm, It gave me the Classic pillow.
Don't see why they would try sell you something not suitable

  • Any suggestions among these for those with neck pain please?

    • +1

Probably one of the curved pillows for neck support

      • Thanks

  • Ordered one to try.

  • +1

Does the PMYSTORE code work for all of you? When I try it says, "This code can't be applied to your order."???

    • Got it fixed, it was something to do with my ebay account.

Thanks for the post OP. Bought 2!

    • What did you do? I'm getting the same error…

      • +1

My eBay account was somehow registered in the US domain, so didn't allow AUS discount codes to be applied. Got help from an eBay live chat agent to solve it in a few mins.

        • Thanks for that… I originally signed up via the US, as they never had the .AU back then… I'll get onto chat… thanks again

  • Any way to get these to Canada? Miss mine and says they don't ship to Canada

    • I'll send one to you if you pay a bit extra for my effort.

  • how long do these pillows last with regular use?

    • +5

With regular logbook service it'll last a lifetime.

  • How do the Dentons pillows compare to the Dunlopillo ones?

  • Does anyone know how the Dunlopillos fare during hot summer nights (i.e. if you don't have air con)? Better than a regular cheap pillow/worse/the same?

    • +1

I have the gel one and its fine in summer

  • Anyone have a minor skin allergy to a latex and tried these (with a pillow case on of course) ?

  • How do these latex pillows compare to memory foam ones, is there much difference? I have a memory foam one that I got due to upper back issues and while it was good for awhile I'm now finding myself sore in the same way I was before. Anyone gone from one to the other and can give me some pros/cons? I'm primarily a side sleeper and I tend to favour a bit more height

    • They are totally different. Like comparing apples to dim sims. Dunlopillo are latex its more springy as if the pillow was part balloon. Its hard to explain. I love mine, gonna buy another.

  • My partner and I experienced some king size pillows at a hotel once and died in our sleep.

Just wondering if this brand offers king size in their selection?
I tried searching king in the MYER store but nothing came up.

    • I would have thought * hotel pillow are
      European size
And goose or duck down (Which are different to latex)
      Hence they are so good
(Depending on the hotel, of course)

  • Ordered 1 Dunpillo to give it a try AND ordered a keepcup too!

    Thanks OP.

  • I purchased the "Talalay Latex Medium Profile Pillow in Classic Feel"back in July. I was sceptical but actually love it. Somehow seems to be just the right height and firmness for me. I can definitely recommend it. So far it is not hot but I am yet to try it in summer. I think one advantage of latex pillows is that they don't hold the heat. Anyway I used to get the odd back issue but since getting this pillow I haven't had any issues.

  • Anyone tried Spotlight home brand latex and memory foam pillows? They go for around $40-50 on sale. Would like to know how they compare.

  • Thanks for the KeepCup deal, been looking for the double-walled one.

  • bought the high profile in medium feel, I swap between back and side sleeping and prefer big and high pillows, hope this is comfy

  • These are much better pillows than the ones that go flat after a week or two.

But my absolute favourite are down/feather pillows, when they go flat after a day or two, I just fluff them up and they're as good as new (after a few months tthey are just as full, fluffy and firm as when I bought them).

Also, I love how they mould around the contours of head/face.

Couple of negatives re feather/down pillows is that sometimes you get a pillow that smells like a duck's butt, and you don't notice it until you put your head on them lol (so it's best to buy them in store, where you can squeeze the air out of the packaging they're in, and check for any smells).

Having said that, you can't wash them (it says they're washable, but they just float on top of the water, and there is no way to get them wet, which is probably good because if it's impossible to wet them, I would HATE to have to dry them).

  • Oh, and it looks like about half the pillows there are not from Myer (they are sponsored listings from whoever paid eBay to advertise them).

If you want to take advantage of the discount code from Myer, click on the non-sponsored ones.

  • Is the Therapillo worth the extra cash?

  • Thanks OP. Been eyeing one of these pillows for ages and finally made the jump

  • +1

Picked up another high profile medium feel. Thanks as always doweyy.

  • Have been using the $29 kmart latex pillow as per previous ozb recommendations. No complains. Highly recommend it.

    • Can you post a link to that thread, thanks.

  • I love my soft dunlopillow. I believe they come with a 10 year guarantee

  • where is my pillow? havent got shipping notification.

    • I bought mine on Wed and it just got delivered. Pretty quick delivery by Myer

      • i bought on Tue.. the classic medium… im in sydney postcode 22xx

        • I'm in Sydney and bought the classic medium too. They dispatched the order on Thurs so probably worth calling them to check on the status.

    • Received mine today
